Weird question. On it's face, the answer would be no. I'm mildly interested in Disco Elysium, but if you made that as a live service game with battle passes, it would be a fundamentally different game.

Although if a game is designed around those things, like Destiny, it should be free to play. Paying full price on top of that is dumb.

God, I hated that area. I'd heard about a "Path of Pain" which is an optional, extremely difficult platforming section. I could have sworn I was on it, but nope, just a regular part of intended progression

Spyro is a tricky one - the game moves really fast, but because so much of it is just running from point A to point B it feels a little slow at first until you really understand the rhythm of the game and what the player is trying to do. I'm sure it's immediately a lot more relatable for someone who has played the game, but that's not me!

I was immediately put off by the Spyro run when I watched live. I couldn't really explain why, but this sums it up perfectly.

Counterpoint - if there is a particularly problematic user who intentionally derails your topics (or topics in general) and disrupts your experience on the board beyond their own posts, ignoring them does nothing. If you block them, they literally can't see your topic so they can't do shit in it (yes, there are means around this but most such users wouldn't actually go to those lengths).

Fair enough. Although I think that if someone is disruptive to the point that such a measure needs to be taken, the moderators should be involved.

That Tekken stream was glorious. Dan really was the shot in the arm the site needed. And with in-person stuff coming back on the west coast, it really feels like the old GB is back.

Glad they fixed the Bombcast theme. I could tell Jeff was done caring about GB when he introduced that previous one. It was truly terrible. Also Bakalar's "kiss on the cheek" makes a triumphant return! Not sure why he isn't hosting the show, though. He was always great when he hosted the occasional Beastcast.

Goodbye Volcano High is still in some sort of development, I think. They fired the head writer and have started development over, so who knows when it's coming.

Probs not I guess! Unless you mean the codes for the projector room (I have 4 of those, nothing big or secret tho).

From where you start the challenge, there's a tunnel that leads under the town and desert. The code is just hanging out in there. It's not a projector code, but it should look familiar...

A keyboard suits this game way better than a controller ever did. I doubt there's any official support for the Hori arcade controller, but that can probably be modded in (I hope).

Did you find the code in one of the tunnels? Not sure if you've done the big secret thing yet or not. (guessing not)

I really like The Witness as a puzzle game, but the philosophical stuff does nothing for me. Apparently the audio logs in the mountain were added last minute (in a day-one patch, no less) as a response to people wanting the game to have somewhat more of a story. While it doesn't really excite me, at least it isn't like Braid where the philosophical bullshit retroactively ruined my opinion of the game.
