People might be expressing opinions!This board is ostensibly about game contests and game character contests. I wanna give a shout out to Luigi's Mansion as well. The particle effects and lighting in that game are something else. Probably not the winner here but very impressive for a launch game.The fun thing about LM is that everything in the game was specifically designed to show off the console's new features. --- HDT |

F-Zero X - True 60 fps gameplay on a console known for most games running at <30 (and as a fast paced racing game it actually needs all those frames) Pokemon Stadium 2 - All of the Transfer Pak stuff plus some of the top of the line graphics and animations on the console. Also had mobile connection support on the JP version ("online" before wifi). Oh and also consider how much full voice acting the game has (the narrator has at least several hundred if not thousands of unique lines). Donkey Kong 64 - Don't forget that many of the reasons why people trash this game are a direct result of the devs trying to push the specs to their limit (past it, really). Really just trying to make it as technically impressive as possible to the point where you could argue that they should have delayed it for the GameCube instead. --- HDT |

Not that Ekans was ever a wildly popular Pokemon in gen 1, but Shroomish topping Ekans might be the most surprised I've been by a result to date.This is funny because these are the two Pokemon who were both seen in pre-release footage of their respective Snap games but were not included in the final release.
