Like it's a Point Man type deal where the slow-mo isn't some magical effect he conjures, he's just so quick that everything else seems slow

Especially having watched the original right before it, since some of the scenes are just shot-for-shot love notes to the first movie. The final fight between Laurie and Michael being played out again with their roles swapped was boss.

Also one of the rare horror movies where the victims (for the most part) weren't utter shits who I wanted to die. I was rooting for the babysitter girl, and for poor drunk Shelly. Half expected Michael to respond to his "You ever have a girl you really liked and couldn't have?" with a "Yup, feel ya, bud"

Eh, the loss of the split screen is made up for by the voice acting. They even have the same voices for this game's Junpei and Akane, which I thought was awesome

Also the game is made immeasurably better with the addition of the timeline map, so you can jump between scenes instead of having to retread everything.
