After that, each game is pretty much standalone They all have a modern day plot, it's just a question of how much But for the purpose of understanding recent games you can ignore Unity and Syndicate, and those don't follow up on previous games either Origins-Odyssey-Valhalla have a modern day story following a single character and a fairly continuous plot with elements returning from 1-3 though So basically you can skip Black Flag (though you shouldn't because I think the protagonist is one of the best in the series), Rogue, Unity, and Syndicate, then go straight to Origins |
