Haven't really been engrossed in pokemon culture since I was a kid. I played the hell out of Blue/Yellow and watched the show all the time, plus did the various other things they had available like the trading card game(both the video game and actual cards). Since then though I haven't really been that involved in pokemon stuff. I played various generation titles but mostly just played them through once to beat them and now don't have much memory of them.

Now I am getting back into it. I'll probably just start with what I have available to me rather than resorting to piracy/emulation to play/watch Pokemon in order. Mostly just because that seems like too much more effort for no reason at all. To this end, I have begun watching Season 3 (Sinnoh region) of the Pokemon show on Amazon Prime. I'll just watch whatever seasons they have available via streaming methods first.

I have also begun playing Pokemon Go over the past month. It is pretty tough because I live basically in the middle of the woods and have no pokestops or gyms anywhere close to me. So I would have to commute quite a bit to get to areas with these. Which really isn't worth it for a game I just intend to casually play. So I am just slowly progressing on this and that is fine. Currently I am completely out of pokeballs so I am in a bit of a waiting period to get some more. Any tips to play the game more economically would be welcome.

And I will also be playing the pokemon games, starting with probably Shield since it is the newest generation. The fact that it is the newest generation doesn't carry much weight, but it is already in my switch so may as well play it first. I also have Let's Go Eevee which I am also maybe considering playing first but kind of just want to play Shield. I started playing Shield when it first came out and got about half way through (maybe? this is a complete guess) then stopped playing because I didn't really have time to then never really picked it back up. So I will start a new game since I don't remember much from before. Once I get to my previous point I can either continue my old game or keep going on the new one or just play both, depends on how I am feeling with the game.

TL;DR: I will be watching Pokemon series starting at season 3, playing Pokemon Go and Shield, and in between that playing the other various pokemon apps/pokemon related things. In this topic I will post my progress through those things.
