An offense report obtained by The Dallas Morning News on Thursday reveals new details about what led up to allegations of an assault in which police suspect Kansas City Chiefs Rashee Rice. The report, obtained by The News through a public records request, said a suspect assaulted a photographer after luring him back to a downtown Dallas nightclub under the premise he was being hired to take pictures. Officers were dispatched for reports of an assault about 2:30 a.m. Monday to the Lit Lounge & Feu Nightclub in the 600 block of North Harwood Street, near Federal Street. The photographer was at an after hours party about 1:30 a.m. at the nightclub, but he left after a short period, the report said. About 1:55 a.m., the suspect messaged the photographer on Instagram and asked him to return to the nightclub, the report said. Law enforcement officials have told The News that Rice, a former Richland High School and SMU star, is the alleged suspect. In the offense report, police redacted the suspects name, but a description outlined in the document matches Rice, including his age, height and weight. Rices attorney, state Sen. Royce West, D-Dallas, has previously declined to comment. On social media, doubt has been cast on the narrative in the hours since the allegation first surfaced Tuesday. Two civilians with knowledge of the incident told The News a verbal altercation occurred at the club, but there was no physical contact. The photographer did not immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday or earlier in the week. According to the police report, the photographer believed the suspect wanted to hire him to take pictures. When he returned, he was made aware of where the suspect was at by other members of the suspects entourage, the report said. The photographer found the suspect, who told him to look at Instagram messages on his phone, according to the report. The report does not detail what the messages said. As the photographer looked down at the suspects phone, the suspect punched him on the left side of his face, the report said. The photographer went to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, a police spokesperson said. The law-enforcement officials told The News the man had visible swelling on one side of his face. Rice is also suspected of being one of two drivers who triggered a multivehicle crash that injured at least seven people on March 30 in Dallas. According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Rice was driving 119 mph and SMU football player Theodore Teddy Knox was driving 116 mph seconds before the incident in the 6600 block of North Central Expressway, between Lovers Lane and University Boulevard. Rice and four other men were seen on video leaving the scene after the crash. Police have said the men didnt stop to see if anyone needed medical attention or provide any of their information. Rice and Knox each face one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury. Both men turned themselves in to authorities less than two weeks after the crash and posted bond shortly after. --- Bees |

Players are encouraged to conserve as much energy as possible during their time away from the practice facility / games. Jeremy Lin used this downtime to learn how to play the piano. The Spurs with Tim Duncan used to play Starcraft LAN games. Most players now just play Call of Duty or NBA 2k though. The non-gaming ones probably just scroll social media all day. --- Bees |

It can be surreal at times to realize that superstar athletes are often regular gamers like the rest of us, some of whom you could very well be queuing with without knowing. But how about being at the top of their sport while also being at the top of a video game too? Luka Doncic is a big Overwatch fan, once running into a streamer in a Grand Master lobby, and instantly recognizing them, proving his interest in the game. Now, hes achieved something only the very best players can boast reaching a top 500 rank. Shared on his Instagram story on May 8, Doncic posted a picture of his Top 500 Tank rank right after a win; quite the feat for someone busy preparing for a playoff match. We dont know what Doncics rank is exactly, but from a tiny sliver on the left side of the image, we can see a small portion of the Grand Master emblem. The basketball phenom actually reached Top 500 while playing on a laptop too not the best setup for the most competitive ranks. Doncic has been spotted Grand Master lobbies since last year, so it may not be his first time in the top 500 either. What we know for sure, though, is hes better at both Overwatch 2 and basketball than all of us. --- Bees |

Microsoft is getting out of the console game because they aren't making any money for a lot of effort. So, the previous companies they used as a device to build up their console will likely all eventually fall. That doesn't mean they can't just reform under a different name and still make games though. That probably won't happen with Tango though as they recently lost one of their most important people prior to this.

mods quitting would just get the boards deleted even faster They don't have to quit, just not enforce the overly strict and horrendously ambiguous guidelines Fandom is using to purge the board of the previous users. And if Fandom is not satisfied with the mods using their own discretion in their moderating then the mods should happily take being unmodded for that instead of shilling for Fandom and accelerating the downfall. Seems to me like DToast was trying to help. People didn't like being cut off from CE for already being in purgatory or something, so he's letting people pm him to consider leting them back in. People said Ace Mos and some others were locked out for that reason, they're clearly back now. He just made a mistake in this case of trusting a guy who said he got banned for being someone he wasn't. From his perspective it probably looks like he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't in terms of trying to help people get back in if they feel unfairly blocked out by bending the rule a bit. People who have no clue what they are doing tend to have that mindset as a coping mechanism for their rampant incompetence. --- Bees |
