Strong/severe thunderstorms with twister potential coming in overnight. Y'all ready to head to Oz?

Looks like a tornado has formed around Joplin and is heading toward Carthage

They're talking about that on TV right now. I'm in Ozark and we're under a watch right now

This year has been out of control.

Yeah, it's pretty bad here right now. I don't think we're getting a tornado, but it's storming quite hard.

Should be in my area in the morning. Hopefully the tornado activity slows down by then. Stay safe!

It did the thunder and lightning thing here in Ozark but never a tornado threat for us. It was about 1:40 or so when the local weather guys stopped covering the whole thing.

Can't say I like that it's been sunny in Springfield for a while now. That's not what you want to see several hours before a big round of storms.

I've got my car under the Safety Awning, so now I'm not really concerned about what happens here. Instead, I'm worried about my mom's house a couple hours east of the city, well inside the moderate risk area. I heard Reed Timmer was in that area earlier, but I don't know if he still is or not.

They keep pushing back the time of the storm. At this rate hopefully nothing happens

I had to laugh because they issued a severe thunderstorm warning WHILE WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM!

Is a thunderin still, probably get some more rain. Thankfully next couple of days are dry.... until another 3 days of rain again. :/
