Back when "Santa money" was being given out I got hundreds of millions. After I already had hundreds of millions of dollars from some Criminal Record (was that the course) glitch that would give you millions every time you raced.......and then when they cleared everyone's money they cleared mine. My buddy who legit only does private sessions never had his money cleared so he bought everything. I didn't.

I fucking loved the hell out of this game but the grind just became too awful. Having all that money meant I could just play the game and have fun. No money, turns into Rooftop Rumble over and over and that just got boring.

Lol nobody had grinded RR in like 3 years. Boy this post is a blast from the past.

Apparently if you link a Twitch Prime account, you can get the penthouse free.

Most of the "free additions" aren't free at all and require you to buy a property to even initiate the missions let alone "buy" the items. But if they are giving the Penthouse away for free through twitch there is a possibility this time it might actually not cost anything to do the missions at the very least.
