Ah sorry. I retract that as I was misinterpreting some of the poll choices.

But as was said, I think the premise itself is flawed, because while people still use this place for guides and the like, the message board communities aren't even remotely what they were ten years ago, let alone fifteen.

I just don't think Gen Z has a stake here.

I mean you're on the game boards. You can see how busy they are in general. Sure the "big" games get traffic but there it all moves so fast anyway it's all so much noise as it is.

I remember when this came out. The chunk cut out fits better with the previous context earlier in his speech and it fits better when you realize that these people he's speaking to want to become involved in politics.

Remember the message of this isn't "don't be woke" or "don't call people out". The message is that if you're going to be involved in politics and activism, those can't be your only plays. The best activists in the past and right now do their best by setting action to their activism. Having an end goal and having an ideal to strive towards, rather than just being against the other guy.

Also there's a caveat to this, because you shouldn't go too far in your seeking to understand those against you that you end up not getting anything done at all. Obama is a good speaker, but he's not perfect. Just ask him how trying to be bipartisan worked for him.

Yotsuba&! (sic) is the current serial work of Kiyohiko Azuma, same guy who did Azumanga Daioh. It's the story of a precocious five-year-old girl as she moves to a new place with her dad and basically lives her little life. There's a cast of family and neighbors and friends and it's all really just about her getting involved in new experiences. If you have any joy in watching children learn things and grow and get into kid antics, it's absolutely for you.

And yes, 4chan picked her up as their "404 girl" for a time. She's named after a four-leaf clover and her green hair is styled in four pigtails.

Oh, and Azuma was pretty clear some years back that it wouldn't be getting an anime.
