Yellow isn't trying to argue in good faith. People yelling "wahhh airstrikes!" while pretending to not know the context or reasoning behind such should are in the kiddy section of the geopolitical swimming pool, and need to stay there.

Good luck with that.
He's saying there will be enough available, not that every adult will have it in their arms by May.

i.e., supply soon won't be an excuse.

I mean, not entirely. Nuking the entire Earth would also kill the GQP, but has a *few* obvious drawbacks. The Lincoln Project is useful enough while also not being *too* shitty in other regards.

Bingo, and anything that kills the GQP is objectively good.

Texas decided to go full RollerBall, but forgot the, you know, RollerBall part.

Jonathan E is supposed to be playing in Houston, dammit!

I just hope it's Texas itself that eats the loss and has to pay out.
Abbott or whoever, to their very, very small credit, did recently say that Texas (the state) should foot the bill. Which is a more stupid variation of "should regulate their energy so insane bills like this can't happen" but, you know: Republicans and baby steps.

The best part is, about 10% of Texas doesn't run on ERCOT, due to being too far away (Like El Paso), and instead run on power from neighboring states/built their own stations.

All these regions were fine and didn't suffer like the other 90% of Texas.

Ah, that at least makes a tick of more sense, but also kinda worse, considering the very high CoL in a lot of California. Restaurants pretending a slow climb to $15/hour there of all places is a joke.

Your restaurant is run by greedy fucks, hoping to cash-in on the low political IQ of their customers for a quick buck. For one, the MW increase hasn't even passed yet, and it's dubious it will do so. So they are quite literally initiating a wage hike over nothing.

Yeah, the AI in Civ is often ridiculous. Like, it would make sense to have otherwise neutral civs applaud your aggressions (due to their own bloodthirsty desires).

That said, thank god they made it so you can tell them to never ask you for a specific deal again, and they toned down the insane religion desires of each one.

You may not like the original movie NOW, but it was extremely popular at the time. The only other video game movie I ever heard get mostly positive reviews back then was the first Resident Evil (ironically, also a Paul W. S. Anderson film).
To expand upon this, for what it's worth, the original Mortal Kombat is still the 5th best rated movie on that list from Rotten Tomatoes, and #1 from Metacritic. One could argue that MK was literally the peak of video game movies.

Oh, and it made a killing at the box office, too.

To be fair, many normally-cold areas would be similarly screwed over by the sort of heat and drought conditions that are normal for much of Texas, much like the east coast would be crippled by earthquakes that the west coast would laugh off. Nobody builds infrastructure to withstand environmental conditions they have almost no chance of ever seeing. That'd just be wasteful. This is why climate change is such a problem: it's going to introduce extreme weather events to regions that have never had to be prepared for them, with devastating results.
Counter-point: West Texas especially gets bad blizzards every year, so their excuse for being ill-prepared isn't very acceptable. Obvious the sharp temperature drops and the sheer levels they are getting hit with as abnormal, but it's more highlighting how Texas' unregulated power industry could have used...you know, regulations, to prevent this. And the general Republican hypocrisy/indifference to the crisis. Watching Cruz get roasted alive today has been delightful.

I'm hyped. Looks like they got the action down, and that Sub-Zero ice wall thing looks very video game-esque.

Not sure I like the protagonist not being Lui Kang, and is some rando. Also, where's Jonny Cage?
