Sometimes old people just don't have anybody to talk to. Their spouse died, their friends died. Their kids moved away and have their lives, it's sad.

Some get bitter, some just want some sort of social interaction. Then they go out and get treated like a burden. It's a shame, many have great stories to tell if somebody would take a minute. But, everybody is too busy, so they get pushed to the side and discounted. It's sad

That's... an extreme over simplification. It values all people. It makes it so that just because less people live in your state, doesn't mean your states voice isn't heard. Your state will always have a voice. If it was a popular vote system, then those in less popular states would frequently be ignored.

But people are voting, not states. Why shouldn't every voice be worth exactly the same when it comes to voting on national level?

Moreover, the Senate is meant to represent the states' interests, not the Presidency. The President represents the nation as one constituency not 50 enclaves that all get treated differently.

And beyond that, a popular vote doesnt give any state more power over another because it would politically stupid to ignore half the country just because they dont live in big cities. Itd be insanely easy for a candidate to snake the election out from under someone pandering to just big cities or populus states.

Not to mention that under current voter trends the ones most likely to vote dont live in these population centers anyway.

That development with Thanos from the time travel plot was pretty interesting, but yeah I would have liked to see their combined forces fighting Thanos and getting the gauntlet from him to undo the Snap.

I actually wish that group charge from the IW trailers wasnt a fakeout. I wanted Thanos to singlehandedly beat that armys ass right after the Titan Battle.

But yeah killing off IW Thanos and having him take the stones with him was the best way to make the Snap actually matter and not completely rob the stones of their power.

Seeing the combined Avengers go after Thanos for the stones would be cool but even with the damage they do to the user there would have been zero non-contrived reason for him not to just snap the rest of them out of existence.

This. People keep bringing up Iron Heart just because she's a current character and that's all they know about comics. They also think that since Iron Man was the heart of the MCU they need another robot suit character ASAP, like that's what people loved about him. 1. I was homeless. For 3 years.

2. Chronic homelessness is a problem. 89,000 or so in the US as of 2018.

3. Its more likely that people end up on drugs as a result of being homeless than the other way around.

The biggest issue with being homelessness is boredom; guess what can kill a lot of time? Substance abuse.

4. Current efforts to address homelessness do a piss poor job at addressing chronic homelessness, as that has a large psychological factor playing into it that isnt solved by material solutions like shelter or food.

In fact, many who are chronically homeless will reject those material solutions even if its to their own detriment. Hence why I rode out the last two hurricanes prior to Dorian in my truck despite shelters being plentiful in my area, and why some homeless may well tell you to fuck off if you try to help them.

5. Current literature suggests the best way to address chronic homelessness is akin to the foster system in terms of whats required. For the chronically homeless, most of which are also psychologically homeless (as opposed to being just houseless), there is a severe lack of inclusion that pushes individuals away from the support they would need to recover, and thats if that support is even there in the first place.

This is where the stereotype of the homeless veteran comes from, as PTSD can easily trigger psychological homelessness. PTSD was, in part, why I ended up homeless.

6. I do jack shit because, as noted above, most current efforts are garbage and would be a waste of my time and money.

For his time, he probably was one of the best fighters on the planet. Would he stack up against his contemporary boxers or other martial artists? Hard to say as we rarely if ever see Bruce Lee in an unscripted fight.

But at the same time, we have to consider who Bruce Lees equivalent is nowadays as well as what he was doing in his time. Thats people like Jet Li or Donnie Yen, both of which are legitimate martial artists in their own right and likely fantastic fighters, despite being primarily actors.

In Lee's time he was one of the progenitors of what would become MMA so, as said, for his time it just doesnt make sense to say he was a chump.

Almost no one was fighting like he trained to, and as MMA would go on to be considered the "best" martial art to train in, its very reasonable to say he was more than capable and likely could have stacked up against other great fighters of his time. Saying otherwise is not just stupid but also Tapout douche garbabe.

Comparing him to modern fighters is very much like comparing a samurai to a US Navy Seal.
