Or rather, the woman who had been running the act has retired.

After 39 years of entertaining fans, Twiggy the water-skiing squirrel has officially retired.

The squirrel made famous in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and singer Brad Paisleys music video, River Bank, made her final performance Sunday in the X Games in Minneapolis. In her final act, Twiggy stood upon a pair of water skis controlled by a remote control boat.

Lou Ann Best, who describes herself as Twiggys mom, told WTSP that the current Twiggy is 10 years old-- there have been seven-- and she is ready for retirement.

Best started training squirrels to water ski after the drowning death of her husband, an auxiliary trooper with the Florida Highway patrol, drowned after he jumped in a river to rescue his stepfather, who had fallen out of a boat.

Best told KARE her late husband came up with the idea of a water-skiing squirrel after he nursed a baby squirrel back to health. He whittled water skis out of Styrofoam and taught the squirrel to ski on his daughters toy boat.

Since his death in 1997, Lou Ann and Twiggy have been teaching kids about water safety, and have made thousands of appearances, hoping to be to water safety what Smokey the Bear was for fire safety, KARE reports.

The squirrels final performance in Minneapolis brought the story full circle -- the first Twiggy performed for the first time at a real estate convention there 39 years ago.

Truly a sad day for entertainment and water safety.

Did you not get her from the log in reward or did you dismantle her?

Either I didn't log in enough days in that first month to get her, or I accidentally dismantled her. I don't remember.

You mean enhance as in enhance her stats, right? Like using the capsules or 2 star fodder? If she isn't showing up in the list, she may already be fully enhanced for what her current level will allow. The stats a T-Doll can have are capped based on their level, so level her up more if you want to enhance her more.

Yeah, that's what I mean. But do their caps go up with each level, or is it possible for them to gain absolutely nothing? Because I figured that might be the case, so I leveled her from 20 to 21 and I still couldn't find her :<

I'm pretty sure at least one of the stat caps goes up each level, but it might depend on the T-Doll. Level her a couple more times, and if she still doesn't show up, then we'll explore other options.

27 days for an event that can be done in 2 days, i think i understand now why, 30+ runs and no 4* limited drop, 1% sucks.

In regards to the Thompson stuff in the last topic, I've gotten so many I started burning them lol. Fairly certain I've gotten 9+. Not sure; I only have 5 ATM (one that I use and the others are going to be dummy fodder). Speaking of which, does the number of copies you need to dummy link go up later? Like I see for the level 70 one there are two spaces; does that mean that I need two copies for just one extra dummy?

Level 10 dummy link = 1 duplicate
Level 30 dummy link = 1 dupe
Level 70 dummy link = 2 dupes
Level 90 dummy link = 3 dupes

All in all, you have to pull 8 copies (the original and then the 7 above) of a T-Doll to be able to fully dummy link it without spending any cores. Of course, the costs of the level 70/90 dummy links can be partially offset as well, like if you only have 1 duplicate for the level 70 dummy link, you can still use it to cut the cost in half.

Cardinals pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon will be called up by St. Louis today and start tonights game against the Reds, making his big-league debut little more than a year after an injury suffered on the mound put his careerand maybe his lifein jeopardy. Talk about a comeback story, new Cards manager Mike Shildt said, understating things.

Poncedeleon was starting for the AAA Memphis Redbirds when on May 9, 2017, he was struck by a line drive back up the middle. The ball hit Poncedeleon on the right temple, and while he remained conscious and waved to the crowd as he was stretchered off the field, doctors quickly diagnosed a fracture and an epidural hematoma, or bleeding on the brain. Emergency surgery was necessary to relieve the pressure, and intensive rehab was required just to get back into something resembling a normal life, let alone baseball.

I cant even imagine what he dealt with, Shildt said, and there for a while it was touch and go just from a lifestyle standpoint, quality of life for him. To be so dogmatic with his mindset that, Im going to pitch again and Im going to pitch in the big leagues. Were going to see that sooner than later. Its impressive.

Cardinals starter Daniel Poncedeleon made his major league debut on Monday night against the Reds in Cincinnati. Hes pitched quite well, holding the Reds hitless through seven innings. The right-hander has walked three and struck out three on 116 pitches. The high pitch count makes it highly unlikely Poncedeleon will be allowed to finish his no-hit bid. The Cards offense gave Poncedeleon a run of support in the top of the sixth thanks to an RBI single by Yadier Molina. Reds starter Luis Castillo has otherwise pitched quite well himself.

Unfortunately, as I was creating this topic, relief pitcher Jordan Hicks gave up the first Reds hit of the game in the bottom of the 8th inning. But despite the no-hitter not being completed, this night will always be remembered in baseball lore as the night that Daniel Poncedeleon came back from a brain injury and pitched the game of his life.
