They're not. Do some reading on cults and the people who join them. Awareness has little to do with it.

They are in his cult by acting as if he is the sole authority on anything corona related, all while ignoring his past mistakes. He's an authority, but not THE authority. One voice among many. Rand Paul addressed this directly with Fauci a few weeks ago, and Fauci agreed with him.

People aren't acting like he's the sole authority on anything corona related. He's just one of the US's leading experts on infectious diseases. His past mistakes are also not being ignored. They have been directly addressed.

And you literally just acknowledged that Fauci himself says he isn't the only authority.

Deaths would accelerate precipitously if the health care system collapses in one of the hardest-hit cities/states. New York City only narrowly avoided that.
It's hard to tell if or how close we are to that point, but with cases growing at this rate, it's unfortunately back on the table.
As of a few days ago, Houston was reporting their healthcare infrastructure was on track to being overwhelmed in the next couple weeks.

That's called being up front with the people. Letting people make an adult decision. It's saying "I'm honest with you; by participating you COULD get COVID 19 and if you're comfortable with that; I don't want you suing me, the government, the state of Oklahoma, the venue, etc etc"
It's called taking advantage of people, which is something Trump has a long documented history of doing. Trump is more worried about looking bad than he is about the lives of people who vote for him.

Overblowing it? He's directly responsible for holding a rally in which they removed social distancing signs and had people sitting shoulder to shoulder with each other, then making them sign a waiver so can't sue him if they get sick.

Because this entire thing has gotten overly political. I mean, if I only had access to CE, I'd think Trump created the virus himself on purpose and desired to kill people because he's a Disney Super villain. Regardless of what you think of the man, I can assure you; especially in an election year, he didn't want people to DIE. This was a massive failure starting where it began and the dominoes kept falling, and falling, and falling (he is one of the dominoes; don't misunderstand. A domino that could've made better decisions). IMO: I don't think ANY President could've escaped this without heavy damage.
Trump is one of the main reasons this has become political. He polticized wearing masks. He politicized the virus itself.

And now we have Trump supporters far and wide refusing to wear masks and throwing hissy fits in stores when asked to wear masks. Even coughing, spitting, and otherwise attacking people for being asked to wear a mask.

Trump changed with the information, too. We closed down. He agreed to the recommendations set forth by Fauci. He agrees people should wear masks. I don't know why he doesn't wear one on camera, but it's really nothing more than virtue signaling and setting a good example. He's been tested. He doesn't have the damn virus. A mask only protects other people from YOU.

Trump wanted to rush re-opening, wants schools to open, still thinks the virus will magically disappear, and wants to do less testing so that it "doesn't make him look bad." He's an idiot.

Trump is also having rallies with no social distancing at all. Fucking moron.

Trump doesn't change his opinion based on new information. He just keeps doubling down on stupid shit, which is why he still doesn't wear a mask. He still thinks the virus will magically go away. Trump is a moron.

What is wrong with what he said? Fauci did say "don't wear a mask" then later on changed his mind.

Facts.

No, he said the general public doesn't need to wear masks because the in early march of coming into contact with someone who had COVID-19 was relatively low. We had very few COVID-19 cases back then, especially compared to now. He said healthcare workers are dealing with COVID-19 workers coming to the hospital for treatment needed the masks the most because they were 100% going to be coming into contact with them. We had an extreme PPE shortage at the time and he was trying to get people to stop hoarding PPE so that healthcare workers would have enough supply.

He's saying the general public needs to wear masks now because we have over 3 million total COVID-19 cases since late January and your chances of coming in contact with someone who is infected is much higher now.

What does this even mean? Why do morons act like democrats dont introduce and push legislation or advocate for social change? My local democrat officials are very connected with the community and work hard at outreach and transparency. I get frequent timetables and itineraries on what theyre working on, as well as open forums for community discussions, particularly online since the pandemic started. The local republicans work very hard at obfuscation and disenfranchisement behind closed doors. They havent passed a budget in way too long because they keep trying to hold secret votes, hoping that not enough democrat legislators show up to stop them. We have a guy on chemo dragging himself in.

We're also seeing Republicans actively argue against civil rights issues time and time again.

Mail in voting
Voter suppresion through gerrymandering and laws that are obvious attempts at making it harder for certain people to vote under the guise of "voter ID" issues
Gay marriage

Then you've got the KKK, white supremacists, neo-nazis and the like proudly waving confederate flags, voting for the Republican party, demonizing liberals and minorities in general for a myriad of "reasons."

Black people and the KKK, for obvious reasons, are always going to be diametrically opposed. However, it's interesting that the question is always "Why do Black people vote Democrat" and never "Why does the KKK vote Republican?"

Republicans beat the "personal responsibility" drum until it's time for them to take personal responsibility. Then they don't accept any responsibility at all.

Notaries are licensed by the state they're in, I believe. And notaries aren't tasked with understanding the paperwork they're signing. They're attesting to the the fact that you are you who say you are and verifying that your signature on the document(s) is legitimate.

Imagine having such a weak candidate that you're scared Kanye would take votes away from him.

Also Black people are not a monolith. Maybe the Democratic party should consider trying to earn votes instead of feeling entitled to them just because they aren't the other guys.
I find it interesting that it's commonly on the Democratic party to be better, but the Republican party caters to white supremacists, neo-nazis, and the like and we're just supposed to shrug our shoulders and accept it.

Both parties need to do a hell of a lot better.
