Yeah, Tesla definitely has a lot of improvements that need to be made before they're ready to roll out anything close to self driving, but they're going down that road already.

Using the advanced auto-pilot is super relaxing on long drives and it pretty much removes driver fatigue from the equation.

There is no evidence that the virus can be spread through sweat.

I don't think sweat was has ever been listed as one of the transmission methods of COVID-19.

Agreed, but let's stop pretending a large gathering with most people wearing masks is the same thing as a large gathering where the vast majority of people aren't wearing masks.

Fact still stands that COVID-19 is here to stay with anti-vaxxer quackery at an all time high. Measles and polio were defeated because the public took both serious. Sorry Im not telling you everything will be okay and back to normal once a vaccine is ready, give up on that false hope lol.

I'm not suggesting everything will be back to normal. I'm just saying COVID-19 is much more of a threat than the flu is.

The US is pretty much the laughing stock of the world with out we've handled COVID-19. Many other countries have contained the spread to a couple hundred new cases per day at the most.

Flu shots are worthless as a good bulk of the general public already do not take them. A COVID-19 vaccine will be as worthless as the people shouting stay home and avoid social activities of any sorts are under the ignorant assumption that a public that has bought into anti-vaxxer rhetoric are suddenly going to take the COVID-19 shot.

Wear a mask and wash your hands, go out and do whatever you want and or essentially need at your own risk.
Fact still stands that the flu isn't as deadly as COVID-19. It isn't really an apt comparison.

Liberals threw a fit when Trump tried to ban travel. WHO covered up info like crazy. Trump downplayed the whole thing to save face.

We just all screwed up tbh.
My problem with the ban wasn't that it was put in place, but that it was too late, short-sighted, and poorly implemented. He banned travel from China at a time where the virus had already spread to a bunch of other countries that we still allowed travel from. We also allowed lots of Chinese residents to come over after the ban was put in place.

Advanced metrics have shown that the mortality rate is at worst around 0.5%, with the overwhelmingly vast majority of those deaths being with elderly people who are already quote ill.
Even if that's true, it ignores the long term symptoms many people who survive it are experiencing. Not to mention the fact that healthcare infrastructure in some areas is starting to get overwhelmed. Houston has been raising the alarm about their healthcare infrastructure becoming overwhelmed within the next week or so if something doesn't change.

What are his claims?

1) He posted this:

https://i.imgur.com/88CVVV9.jpg

I asked him to provide evidence of these "thousands of doctors, scientists, epidemiologists, and virologists" making these claims and he "stumbled upon" this:

https://medium.com/@vernunftundrichtigkeit/coronavirus-why-everyone-was-wrong-fce6db5ba809

The author makes a few false claims that jump out pretty quickly if you actually read it and now he's just whining about the fact that I pointed out those false claims.

2) He's saying Facebook took his supporting "video" down for political reasons just to censor him and he didn't save it. The only thing he posted recently that comes to mind, from what I remember, is a video he shared that had a QAnon hashtag on it.

One of my teachers from high school has gone full tin foil hat, it seems. This guy was one of my favorite teachers in school. He was pretty much always the type of guy who was needlessly sarcastic in many situations, but most people got used to it after a while.

Now he's full on posting wild conspiracy theories about COVID-19. I made the mistake of trying to engage him to see where he's getting this stuff from and he just won't back up his statements at all. Then he claims he "stumbled upon" some supporting evidence and it contained a few blatantly false claims.
