It's quite the opposite. We all support one another especially in emergencies. With our grandmother being the last of four, our parents aging, and us being the third generation with growing families of our own we always keep in touch.

It is if you're family is completely disfunctional and immature. Thankfully, we don't have that problem and realize that it's basically us against the world, so to speak. We're unified under an unbreakable bond.

I think things get a lot easier and the victories and victories you can see come quicker when you learn full self-acceptance, but I'm far far far from that.

I'm just putting one foot in front of the other and hoping I'm heading in that direction. Also therapy, lots of therapy.

I try to count my blessings but other than having a roof over my head and some trinkets I've collected over the years, I don't feel like I have much. I don't really even have a family or friends either. I've been conditioned to dislike everything about myself.

Therapy certainly helps but I have no insurance and can't afford it. The only therapist I could ever afford was a really crappy local one who used our sessions so she could plug a yoga class.

Not to come off as a Debbie Downer but I've literally failed at every venture and hobby I've ever tried. Picking one of the most miniscule examples, I'm not even that good at video games.

I can't think of a single accomplishment of mine, or anything I'm proud of. I keep trying to give myself some purpose, or try something new to distract me from how bad things are, and it never works out.

At this point, absolutely the fuck not. I'm more important.

For the time, it was actually a pretty neat device. It had absolutely horrendous marketing, and all momentum it had disappeared when the project lead was unable to name any games for it during an interview in front of a live audience.

Things started going down hill after 9/11 and I feel like somewhere around 2010ish is when it started getting worse exponentially.

Everything noticeably started going to shit from 2012-2015, which is coincidentally the same time frame where smartphones and broadband internet access started to become affordable to the masses. Interpret that how you want.

Just get the Wii U. You can put custom firmware on it, effortlessly, and you pretty much have Nintendo's entire catalog open to play, whether it's actual releases, VC games, custom VC games or emulated games.

It's pretty much a 1:1 remake of the original with a lot of QOL improvements. It's legitimately one of the best remakes ever released, and is borderline indistinguishable from something Valve itself would release.

She's not the type of cat to display affection but instead make noises all fucking day and be annoying. I have no idea what happened but I literally woke up and for some reason her usual excessive meowing and fucking furniture up annoyed me more than ever. Obviously she's not doing it to try to be, but it's a strange feeling.

I'm usually the type of person to gush over cute animals but I've been in such a funk lately that I'm finding everything annoying. I'm sure it'll pass, but still. :/

I understand where you're coming from. The trick for me was to lower my expectations and strive to thrive on simplicity. I don't have big dreams. I don't even have little dreams. I have a few things that give me just enough of a push to keep moving forward, not necessarily toward or away from anything but just for movement's sake. They don't take a lot to acquire or maintain and they're all positive things. Reading a book. Taking a walk. Listening to music. Eating a cheap and simple but delicious meal, like curry and rice. I work enough to maintain these things, more or less, because anything more than that throws everything out of balance. I don't get the rewards of aiming high but I also don't get the pain of falling short.

I don't have expectations anymore. At one point I had dreams and goals but it became pretty clear that even if my mental health and other issues were on point, it'd still be impossible to achieve. I'm sure it's just the depression making me exaggerate things but I don't really enjoy much anymore.

Everything I try to occupy myself with ends up making me miserable and bored, as I constantly get reminded of the various problems I have, or how things aren't looking so good for me. I've almost completely lost interest in video games and I don't really like watching any TV/movies/YouTube anymore. It all feels like going through the motions.

The weird thing is I have no social anxiety. I have no issues with small-talk, talking to strangers, and all that. It's just this intrusive, invasive feeling of constantly being judged and talked about, even though I'm aware it's irrational.

I'm unable to find any job that would utilize my skills. I'm on Indeed constantly and unless I somehow relocate hours and hours away, there's nothing. I've given up on trying to venture into a career path and realize that I'm going to just have to suck it up and manage to tolerate shitty jobs until I die.

No, and that's part of it. I feel awkward having 'friends'. It's too much pressure and I'm afraid I'd be judged or something. I've been looking for work for almost an embarrassing amount of time and nothing's come up. The only interview I managed to score ended up being a scam. Due to financial issues and my driving anxiety, I had to sell my old car.
