The Moto-E line of phones is pretty decent. If you want to spend a little more money you can bump up to the Moto-G line. I'd stay away from Chinese brands at this point.

You might want to consider jumping over to the iPhone. I've never been able to get used to Android.

I don't. I have a decent skill set, some experience, and some tech certification, though.

I really want to get things back on track after a number of overlapping personal issues and the current climate isn't making it any better. I've applied to around 40 places on Indeed, I wasted my time with UpWork (and now have to pay money in order to send proposals), and nowhere locally is hiring. Local grocery stores and retailers are packed to the gills in applications.

I have a friend that does freelance writing for the web and he makes it seem like it's effortless.
