Of course, you just sound very small-minded and uneducated. Forgetting the ethical aspect the death penalty has not been shown to deter crime. And if this was a death penalty crime, thats not going to help root them out. If anything, itll make things worse by making them become even more cautious and possibly even driven to offend if the punishment is the same either way. Itll also become a witch hunt and the easiest way to frame others to be killed. This is not only not practical but just completely negative other than to satisfy your bloodlust and maybe have a single threat (who mightve not even been one) be stopped.

Thats not really how mental disorders work. So whats your solution, just tell them to repress it? What sounds more feasible and safer? Relying on an individual to repress themselves or having them get treated by professional help? Ironically, just saying they should simply keep it to themselves would be closer to normalizing it.
