How's life been otherwise BP?
eh, the first half of 2019 was fucking hell. I'm starting get this anxiety more under control so I'm trending in the right direction. Still can be hard at times, but my therapist has taught me some good coping skills. I've been more social lately and trying to put myself out there more it's definitely helped. Here's hoping 2020 is better than 2019.

Nah, no benzos. Just trazodone, zoloft, and seroquel/quetiapine.

So far so good though. Anxiety is pretty much nil right now. I'm not looking forward to the morning though.

It's probably going to hit me like a ton of bricks.

Anxiety fucking sucks. The anxiety I have turns my body into a giant vibrator set on high from head to toe that never goes away. Been like this for 8 months. Trying to find the right combination of long term meds to help, but not much success so far. It's progressively getting worse too. I was at my family's Christmas party and everyone was playing Jenga, but I avoided playing because I knew my hand would be shaking trying to play. I'm not sure how much longer I can go on like this.

I don't think this should be a big surprise to anyone.

When there's one person running it, the longevity of the site was always going to be an issue.

That's pretty much the major complaint I had with it, knowing that one day it will just go down and not come back.

Good on him for keeping it up for as long as he did though.

I've been taking Trazodone since early July and I'm not sure it's really done a whole lot for me.

I was on Prozac along with Trazodone and still didn't notice it helping with my anxiety all that much.

Now I'm on Zoloft and Trazodone. So we'll see how that goes.

but I feel like this anxiety is slowly eating away at me. My sleep has been very poor since early April when I developed tinnitus in my right ear and then a month later I woke up and it felt like my body was vibrating from head to toe. It's been like this since May and it's only getting worse. I really hope Zoloft works with the physical symptoms cause I'm not sure how longer I can keep going on like this.

Do you have a Water Retention? or low Vitamin B count in your system?

Water retention is something that I am definitely considering. I get fullness in my head and around my ears and a pressure feeling around my head and ears as well. That same feeling you get when your ears need to pop, but mine seem to constantly feel that way. Not sure about low Vitamin b count. That's something I'll find out when I go to the ENT doctor.

Music_Rock_Cat posted...
They have Ring Relief too at the store but if that doesn't work you might have something more serious causing it.

It's funny you bring up the Ring Relief because that's exactly what I've been trying the last couple of months. I can't really say or not if it's really doing anything. One day I think it is and the next seems like it's just making it worse. It's pretty much a crapshoot when it comes to those homeopathic remedies.

http://georgerrmartin.com/notablog/2019/05/13/idiocy-on-the-internet/

Internet journalism is an oxymoron, I am more and more convinced.

Of late it seems theres a new story about me somewhere on the net every day, or near enough to make no matter. Many get things wrong. For the most part I ignore them. I have better things to do than try and track down every weird rumor or out-and-out fabrication that pops up on some obscure website trolling for traffic.

Every so often, however, one of these stories gains an improbable currency, and just chuckling at the insanity no longer suffices.

That seems to be happening right now. All of a sudden this crazy story about my finishing THE WINDS OF WINTER and A DREAM OF SPRING years ago is popping up everywhere. No, I am not going to provide links. I dont want to reward purveyors of misinformation with hits.

I will, however, say for the record no, THE WINDS OF WINTER and A DREAM OF SPRING are not finished. DREAM is not even begun; I am not going to start writing volume seven until I finish volume six

It seems absurd to me that I need to state this. The world is round, the Earth revolves around the sun, water is wet do I need to say that too? It boggles me that anyone would believe this story, even for an instant. It makes not a whit of sense. Why would I sit for years on completed novels? Why would my publishers not just here in the US, but all around the world ever consent to this? They make millions and millions of dollars every time a new Ice & Fire book comes out, as do I. Delaying makes no sense. Why would HBO want the books delayed? The books help create interest in the show, just as the show creates interest in the books.

So no, the books are not done. HBO did not ask me to delay them. Nor did David & Dan. There is no deal to hold back on the books. I assure you, HBO and David & Dan would both have been thrilled and delighted if THE WINDS OF WINTER had been delivered and published four or five years ago and NO ONE would have been more delighted than me.

I have said it before: dont believe everything you read on the internet.

Except here, of course.

I've had it for almost 2 months now, but I've read cases of people having it for decades. Which is a scary proposition.

Some days it can be a pretty high pitch noise that makes me want to bang my head against the wall. Came close to a few panic attacks when it was almost unbearable. The first few nights I'd have to sleep right next to my fan on the floor on high just help drown out the noise. I'm on anxiety medicine right now and the seems to be reducing the volume which makes it easier to ignore. I'm going to a Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor in few days so I'll find out more.

Anyone here currently dealing with Tinnitus?
