I think most of the time a bands second album is the best. It refines elements of the first while adding a bit of new flair. Usually the 3rd is the worst when they completely change their style.

Prime 1 and 2 are both amazing in their own rights but the first has the edge. The world was so great, the soundtrack was amazing, and I feel like the atmosphere was the best. Two though had better bosses and the best one in the series, Quadraxis. 3 just felt really meh and didn't feel like prime. I blame the voice acting.
