They worked fine as main tanks the years I played unless something has changed, depending on the patch they were sometimes considered the best tanks. There wasn't really a core difference between their tank spec and the other two tank specs.

Due to the way their shielding worked there were some patches where their damage would spike too high, but I don't think that was ever the norm or intended function.

DPS always seemed to be a bigger challenge to balance, for a long time there were "main" DPS classes and "off" DPS classes with like a 10%+ damage difference.

That said, she's probably the most boring servant in FSN proper, and it really feels like they designed her character and then slapped on a generic heroic spirit identity afterwards.

Her characterization benefits immensely from subsequent works like Hollow Ataraxia, unlike most other aspects of Fate which get exponentially worse with every new story.

I do notice that Activision specifically seems to be getting a lot of criticism directed at them over this lawsuit. While not unfair, it's worth noting that many of the allegations date back to the "good" days at Blizzard.

I was talking to a co-worker yesterday about Acti Blizzard and I brought up the lawsuit and he basically said he doesn't like it but he's still gonna buy their games.
I wish I was surprised but that's exactly what's going to happen.

I'm hearing that a lot of online content creators are dropping WoW content (though not just as a result of the lawsuit, more the relevance of the game declining).

Boycotts by "the gamers" are rarely meaningful because gamers lack any kind of integrity or shame, but a decline in other forms of online content is actually meaningful, that's a huge amount of free marketing that can just evaporate overnight.

I don't think WoW or Blizzard is going to die, but it seems like they might be leaving the zeitgeist, which would lead to heads rolling from a company that feels so entitled to success.

From a couple of the stories I read he was aware of the behaviour and involved in minimizing complaints and protecting abusers, though I haven't seen anything that portrays him as being directly abusive. But it wouldn't be super surprising. Especially if you've seen his old rant that was making the rounds a few years ago.

The entire management team is likely rotten. Tbh I'm kind of curious of how many employees or former employees you see now condemning the behaviour were in fact abusive themselves.

I would also note the idea that battles are fought by little squares of men moving around using RE tank controls shoulder to shoulder is more a consequence of how things look on a map than how things work in practice.

One of the biggest issues when talking about military history, especially medieval and earlier, is that it assumes a level of consistency and organization that often simply wasn't there. A lot of people memorize the boot colors of Napoleon's regiments, but that doesn't account for a soldier who loses his boots and has to find a new pair.

The other issue of course being that it tends to overshadow other more important areas of historical study, but we're nerds, not scholars.
