Trump did NOT encourage people to riot on the 6th. There was no reason to impeach him. They wanted to impeach and remove him before he even took the oath of office so he wouldnt expose their crimes and lose their millions of dollars.

lolwut? They didn't "take over" anything. They stormed the building, a few got killed, and the rest were promptly removed. The police may not have been able to keep them out, but the rioters were never in control.

And this is probably the better option, considering that even if you knew something was going to happen like the storming of the Capitol or 9/11, there isn't much you could actually do to stop it (and, in the case of the Capitol, there wasn't much lasting damage), and your warning would just get you in trouble down the road.

In the article it says that the officer was required to pepperspray the kid becaues that's the rules when someone refuses to obey.

In a case like this it's not the officers that should be punished, but the rule-makers.

I don't think I can blame the individual cops in this case... yes, it's douchy - but they did follow their prescribed doctrine to the letter.

Now that apps like Robinhood have halted trading on stocks like GameStop, AMC, and the like to protect our corporate masters...I wonder how many of the same people that were cheering on the deplatforming and de-personing of people with slogans like "private company", "start your own service", "this is what you agreed to when you signed up" are starting to see the other side of the coin.

Well, I think the hope among democrats and some republicans is that Trump would be barred from being elected in 2024. That tells me that they're afraid he could win in 2024 which means that it's an attempt to defy the will of the voting public. They don't think that Biden (the most popular president of all timeses) or whomever they put forth would beat him. More likely someone else though because I really doubt biden will be able to put a sentence together in 4 years

They really don't. Biden's whole schtick was "I'll listen to experts and we'll do what they say," which was basically what Trump had been doing
