In the past, my supervisor has always demanded respect and special treatment. He usually tries to work as few hours as possible, never fills in for anyone that calls off, and always tries to weasel his way into getting Christmas off (we are officers, and therefore work on all holidays).

Anyway, he was supposed to work July 5th, but the day before he told me "by the way, you're working on the 5th, I have the day off". I was extremely annoyed that he automatically assumed I was going to cover him, but I wasn't doing anything that day anyway so it was fine. And if he's using PTO time, why do I care?

Well guess what. I just dug through some emails, and I found out he got HR approval to get that day off, with full pay, without using PTO time. He made the exact same amount of money that he would have made if he worked that day. This pisses me off because no one else would have received this special treatment. This is the same guy who wouldn't let me take Christmas day off to see my family, just so he could take Christmas day off and do absolutely nothing at his house.

Here's the thing, I work with him normally on Mondays. Last week I bit my tongue and didn't say anything to him at all about it. Should I keep it that way? I have a big mouth, and I usually tell people how I feel about them. I'm a very straight shooter. However this has gotten me in trouble in the past. You might have seen my older topics where I was fired for telling someone "that's not my fucking job". That's one prime example.

So what should I do here? I don't feel good bottling this up at all, but I do like this job except for my supervisor.
