Your attitude is the very essence of victim blaming because it puts the responsibility for something bad happening on everybody except for the person doing the bad something.

There will always be bad people around, and sometimes bad situations that doesn't involve a bad person. And because of that, you can't go anywhere you want. You can't do anything you want. The trick is to avoid putting yourself into a situation that will hurt you.

If you get into a car and you know the driver to be drunk and the driver causes a car crash because of them being drunk, then you are to blame for getting into a car you know to be unsafe. Sure, the driver is the one responsible but that doesn't mean you're blameless when you get hurt.

As opposed to you getting into a car and you don't know the driver is drunk and a car crash happens. Then you are not to blame as you were unaware of the danger.
