Paru channels Araki's "forgetfulness" in some ways and there are things that get brought up and now seemingly not again but overall yea it's been a fun journey

Really loved it from beginning to end, one slight complaint in the final episode but it's not a super big deal. Extremely fun and enjoyable.

I was gonna wait on Great Pretender until it was all done but then a friend was raving about it and my curiosity got the best of me, watched through 6 episodes so far (first episode of case 2) and the backgrounds and colors are gorgeous. And genuinely a fun ride, especially the transition to this new case.

I still think it's worth pointing out, he obviously has a semblance of knowing what he's doing since he oversaw the Mob anime general layout. Granted it doesn't meant it's guaranteed but it makes me more likely to be like "yea I think that can turn out good" rather than not.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Deca-Dence since I remember hearing the name and I've been slacking on new shows, went in completely blind

Yea wow uh that's quite a turn, I'm still a liiiiittle confused on some details of it specifically the human role in this but it's definitely interesting. And I was already on board with the original premise!

I even got my sister to watch it and that was because she was cooped up inside and wanting stuff to do/watch

Also the premiere date on Netflix for Beastars happened to coincide with the ramp up of Covid and lockdown measures lol, a lot of things ended up lining up for it to help push it through.

I like Michiru but I did get annoyed with her at some points even later on, and I actually liked Nazuna's arc to the end.

I said it here already at some point but BNA is an unfortunate case of not living up to its potential and I guess a classic Trigger show through and through, main plot is not great and the world building needs way more but the animation is cool and there's fun antics to be had. Baseball episode was one of my favorites because it had literally nothing to do with the main plot of the show. I'm curious if getting like 16-18 episodes or so instead of 12 would have helped it a bit.

It still annoys the hell out of me that people don't just stay in beast form when there are zero downsides to it. They give no reasons for why you shouldn't just be in beast form, so I don't get why there aren't at least a younger generation of beast people in the city who are rebels and stay in beast form most of the time even if the older citizens abide by it for the sole reasoning of tradition of only being in it to show dominance I guess??? Which I don't believe is a good enough reason.

Which brings me to Shirou. Honestly a pretty weak deuteragonist, he was the most interesting in his introduction with the crying and such and then basically just became a generic badass loner and that didn't really change much. And for someone who's personality is 75% made up of "I hate humans".....why wouldn't HE at least want to stay in beast form most of the time to make a statement on how much he hates them? That part I REALLY don't get.
