TopicFast food workers strike for $15 minimum wage.

People seem to not realize that a low minimum wage means that the employer is passing the burden of paying their workers onto you, the taxpayer, when you consider that those working for close to the current minimum wage are usually receiving some sort of government assistance.

It's ironic that the left is so hell bent on associating anyone who is a republican as a nazi, and anyone who identifies as independent or third party as nazi sympathizers, yet they refuse to even acknowledge let alone denounce the communists leading their protests. Considering that communism is just as much associated with genocide and labor camps, it seems rather hypocritical.

TopicDo the "Far-Left" and "Alt-Right" have the same end goal?

Both the far left and alt right favor big government statism and censorship of speech that doesn't reflect the groupthink. Both groups are wearing the symbols of political parties that slaughtered millions of innocent people and discriminated against homosexuals and minorities. I guess the one key difference, is at least the alt right neo nazis acknowledge as much. It's ironic seeing a bunch of Antifa members touting anti bigotry, meanwhile waving flags with the hammer and sickle on them, completely oblivious to the fact that both Stalin and Guevara supported putting gay people into labor camps.

Everyone on both sides of the protest is responsible for the downfall of America. Anyone who tells you otherwise, is also part of the problem.

Yes. The coffee addiction started in my three month long training class I had to go through when I first started my job. Sitting in a windowless room for nine hours doing boring ass training modules is mind numbing.

It then got worse when I got diagnosed with lyme. I drink 30 to 50 oz a day now. Milk only, no sugar

That was literally the exact justification for the war in Iraq. None of these wars are necessary. It's fear mongering used to pump up the military industrial complex. If you want proof, look at the effect on Lockheed Martin's share prices since yesterday. We are killing millions so that a few wealthy people can become marginally wealthier. It's a sham, don't buy it

With all the goings-on around Mueller's grand jury investigation into the Trump-Russia ties and Pence's unorthodox moves (and more GOP-friendly approach), this isn't wholly unlikely... Thoughts?

The investigation is more into his campaign staff than Trump himself, which makes all of that highly unlikely. I know that several PotDers are already hypnoxing to the thought of Trump being out of office but, unless he resigns after pardoning a staffer found guilty, that's not going to happen.

At any rate, the more exciting prospect would be a Paul Ryan presidency since he has at least *some* libertarian leanings.

Paul Ryan....libertarian? In what sense? He's as much of a war mongering, statist neo con as anyone else in Washington right now.

The democrats and republicans are essentially the same party. They're both out to serve the wealthy while pandering to the lower class, they both spend irresponsibly, both constantly wage war and meddle in other countries' affairs, and both insist on infringing on our constitutional rights. Civil asset forfeiture, The Patriot Act, NDAA, etc all supported by both parties. The only difference is that now we have to listen to celebrities like Colbert constantly whining instead of lining up to kiss big government ass. So no, my life has been unaffected.

I have lyme disease, on top of epilepsy medication that already causes drowsiness. If I don't get seven plus hours I'm not moving.

The fact that people are delighted about his death is a bit tasteless but it also is a good reminder of the importance of implementing term limits for congressional members.

Like 3-5. I have lyme disease so I drink too much coffee to compensate. I know that I should cut back but some days I just wake up glued to my bed, and I fade early and often.
