To be fair a derailment is considered anything that causes a train wheel to slip off the track which can be as simple as a single wheel coming off. The vast majority of derailments aren't even worth mentioning which is why no one hears about it

I was in Vegas at the time and on the strip when it happened. I remember the reaction from the police and people and the mood after the fact. Even I kind of forget about it until it comes up like this.

I think it's because there's nothing really to discuss as there is so little known facts. Even his motive is unknown to this day
