Memorable theme song and the franchise pops up again now and then but no, not quite enough going for him. I think even Beetlejuice would beat him due to having his name in the franchise title.

I think I'll agree with halfsilver.

Willy Wonka is a weird entrant due to him being so isolated from gaming or other gamefaqs-esque nerd interests and having no current relevance yet certainly having some childhood nostalgia attached - but if his movie wasn't one of someone's favorites back in the day, it's difficult to see him having much pull.

LAW fodder for Woodstock. I was never a huge Peanuts guy but I have some fondness for Snoopy and the kids, though theyd all probably be terrible here. But for Woodstock, I remember Woodstock existing and I think hanging around with Snoopy but basically nothing else.

For the gamefaqs demographic I think Alec Trevelyan probably dwarfs any other non-Bond character from the films and we still rated him low so yeah. Oddjob probably attracts some antivotes due to being annoying in multiplayer (which is where most people are going to be most familiar with him) but at least a lot of people will know who he is and might be kind of amused he's in a poll so he's still not gonna be LAW.

Fodder line for Indiana Jones. I wouldn't underestimate how much of an icon that character is. He may not be particularly relevant at this point but he lives on as a childhood favorite of many and on gamefaqs I think that just might be enough.

Tom would be better than Jerry, at least. I was going to go low but thinking on it, Tom vs. Daffy makes me a little uncomfortable so I'll be generous and say mid fodder.

I can't see Porky holding up at all so low fodder. He'd be running on recognizability and "That's all folks" and not much else. Generally, I don't have much faith in early cartoon characters. Even the ones people know and watched reruns of or new version as kids, I don't think the personal connection is going to be very strong compared to stuff like 80's toy commercial cartoons, Power Rangers, or the early hits of the western anime boom that got merchandiced and fadded to hell where you didn't have to stop engaging with the brand even when the show wasn't on.

Liberty Prime probably wouldn't be low if Fallout's name hadn't been dragged through the mud but YEAH OOPS. He's probably still close to mid?

Daffy Duck (Looney Tunes) - Mid fodder

About as well known as Bugs but much less iconic. I don't think Looney Tunes matter much to people at this point beyond nostalgia and icon/historic value and they've got like no historically notable games. I feel people probably still like Daffy enough to get his past low anyways, especially if Bugs is Fodder Line, but not sure about Looney Tunes beyond him.

Nurse Joy (Pokmon) - Mid fodder

Recognizable but the amount people that care should be pretty low. Also not sure if any Pokemon Center employees are ever referred to as Joy in any games? She might end up having to appear as "Nurse" or "Receptionist" or something,

metal man kind of bombed and while this was predictable (metal blades being well liked was never going to mean metal man was strong) I do think hed be one of the strongest robot masters - its just that probably none of them are that good. I dont have much confidence in mega man 9 in particular to have endured.

Nathan "Rad" Spencer (Bionic Commando) - Low fodder

Bionic Commando is by most accounts a pretty cool NES game but I doubt people ever cared much about the playable character. It's like the Contra dudes except in a vastly less widely played franchise. MvC inclusion is enough to make me not consider LAW but that's about it.

Yshtola (Final Fantasy XIV) - Low fodder

I haven't played FFXIV but am reluctant to give characters from it much credit.

nobody outside board 8 is going to be in on the joke and even here I don't think Resident Evil Gaiden has come up much over the past few years.

It is an iconic nerd franchise, at least. But no notable gaming legacy, so few females on gamefaqs, and the show being so old are all problems. Maybe Buffy's got enough going for her to make it past low anyways though? I went with mid, your milage may vary.

Andy (Advance Wars) - Low fodder

Advance Wars has looked okay enough that if it had a particularly well-liked main character to represent the entire franchise, they might have plausibly been able to break into mid fodder.

Andy, of "What's an airport, again?" fame, is unfortunately probably not that guy.

Jerry Mouse (Tom and Jerry games) - low fodder

Almost everyone probably knows who this is but I doubt his appeal a lot. The lack of dialogue, notable games, relevance, and my gut says he just wouldn't appeal that strongly to the gamefaqs flavor of nerd?
