Creeper was maybe not completely terrible in 2013 but whatever meme/joke power it might have had is gonna be gone now. More generally, Minecraft is one of those stupid thing that kids with seemingly infinite time to spend play nonstop. The appeal for a gamer who was already grown up or close to it when it launched and is even older now is going to be near zero. May the crotchety old men of gamefaqs kill it with fire should it ever darken our contests again.

i dont think Lets Go matters at all.

I also seem to have a weird unpopular opinion that Eevee itself sucks and its only in most peoples parties for maybe 10 minutes before they evolve it, so why care about the base form? Kinda hoping at least a few people agree with me!

Ivy Valentine (Soul Calibur) - Mid fodder

I don't think your average Joe Sixstats have thought much about Soul Calibur in over a decade but Soul Calibur II's presence as a staple "we're bored of Melee and don't demand four people playing at the same time" game for a few years should give Ivy some minimum level of familiarity even if you never owned the game. Now toss in TJF and she shouldn't be too bad. I'd definitely take her to beat, say, Tina Armstrong.

Zen got Metal Sonic a 5 seed last contest, so yeah, a bracket with a lot of board 8 favorites would be likely.

Oath in Felghana probably doesn't have the support to get in by itself regardless. Too many good Ys games competing for nominations. If any of them were going to get in, I'd expect Ys VIII.

Mewtwo looks more or less like a regular Midcarder at this point, I think? Maybe just barely better. And Mew just has so much less going for him, in not being legitimately obtainable or even normally encounterable in RBY, not playable in Smash, and having a way less cool design and vibe than Mewtwo. I don't think it'd be particularly close in strength to Two. Being the original secret Pokemon does give it some mystique, though.

Kitty Pryde (X-Men) - Mid fodder

Not getting into the 90's animated series kneecaps her pretty hard and no prominence in the first couple X-Men movies is also a problem. She's just not even in the biggest X-men stuff for this site's demographic. Was in some later X-Men movies and X-Men Evolution but even so this feels really generous. I do recognize the name offhand though (wouldn't have a prayer of telling you what Gambit, Storm, or Beast's real names are), so she's probably got something going for her.

Villager (Animal Crossing) - High fodder

Nook looked around this level in 2013 and were operating in a much more Nintendo-friendly environment now. Perhaps a weaker Animal Crossing environment, though? Nooks also a lot more personable than the pretty dull Avatar that Villager is. But if youve got anything else to your name whatsoever, Id generally give Smash benefit of the doubt so yeah.

I could see hugh fodder too but not making a contest and mass effect not looking good says not to expect much. Mass effect 2s relatively poor 2015 results suggest to me that Garrus and shepards bad showings in 2018 were not just a screw andromeda reaction, either.

Im not so willing to overlook the oh my god Navi shut up factor and if she was actually liked by a lot of people I think shed have gotten in before now.

naruto - mid fodder

a little too young to do much. The average gamefaqs user was 18 when naruto started airing on us television. There were people the show hit hard for though in the younger set and he has name value from sharing the franchises title. Actually having decent/good (or so I hear) games that got timely us releases helps a little too. I think hes a little sketchy but willing to go with mid fodder.

that one match groose had was hilarious

Dragon ball is probably the only anime franchise thats both very widely watched here and still actively cared about. Pokemon (of course), Yugioh, Sailor Moon, and Digimon should have decent-to-very high rates of having been watched at some point. In general I dont trust stuff that only aired on Cartoon Network nearly as much. Naruto might be worth mid fodder or so, although hed be depending an awful lot on gamefaqs younger half; actually having good games helps though. Besides adult swim nostalgia, Full metal alchemist Is boosted by actually still being popular and well-liked by current anime fans (though technically its brotherhood rather than the first anime that current fans like). Cowboy bebop had reruns for years and years and massive critical acclaim and just seemed like the coolest thing ever hence why I put spike at mid fodder.

thats about it imo. Bleach was maybe worth a little several years ago but sure as hell isnt now. Death note probably hit too late and too briefly to matter much but it might be worth a little? I give minimal chance of anyone from anything else breaking low fodder. Would be very impressed if anything modern managed it.
