The only live-action comic book movie I'd be hyped for at this point is Zack Snyder's Injustice, especially after the build-up in his version of Justice League.

Just because you were among the people that used to love him, doesn't mean everyone did. Same to being fooled into thinking he was some genius.....

You say "we" as if "we" all were fooled.

Being real serious, actually listen to many of his presentations, promises and times he spoke to those promises. He definitely showed a long time ago that he wasn't this genius that everyone should just love and adore.

Only real difference from now and then is he put himself more into the spotlight. He's actually a similar case to Trump. You have people thinking around 2016 people just randomly started hating Trump. No, sorry, he had people disliking him long before 2015ish too. His presidential run just put a grand spotlight on why some already hated him.

I didn't mean to insinuate everyone here admired him. There were people that didn't like and/or trust him back then, but I do distinctly remember that the majority of the opinions expressed of him here back then ranged from neutral to positive.

As for his presentations and promises, back then I did already figure it was (at least in part) a sales pitch, like when he presented his Gigafactory plans, it could meet all of humanity's energy plans within two years, which would be a massive stretch even if literally every government would immediately accomodate him and everything would go to plan.

I was willing to overlook things like that. But by the time he became more vocal on Twitter and more stuff came to light about his unethical way of doing things, I became more and more disillusioned about him. Perhaps you are right, and the signs were there all along, and I was simply too much in awe to see it.

I do admire some of his companies' achievements, like Tesla Inc playing a significant role in getting the car industry to go electric, and SpaceX successfully creating reusable space rockets. I was optimistic about Neuralink and OpenAI as well at first, but since I came around about Musk, I'm kinda worried about where it could to, to the point where I'm too paranoid to even use ChatGTP.

Fine, I'll be the one to say Elon Musk.

Some of you are probably gonna be like "lol I've always known he was just another rich douchebag", but there was a time when he was pretty popular here on CE as well, including among progressive-minded users. We honestly believed he had the ambition to increase humanity's chances of longterm survival and improve quality of life in a sustainable manner.

It went downhill as he became more and more active on Twitter, made business decisions that weren't just eccentric anymore but downright petty, selfish and greedy, and he basically came out as just another rich douchebag. To this day I'm not sure if he has gone mad with power or actually was like this all along (but then why put on an act for so long?)

A jury can name literally any number for some types of damages. There is almost always a statute that caps the amount though, which gets sorted out after the jury's findings. The news likes to report it in this way because they make money off sensationalism.

That would make sense. It would also explain those cases where the sentence is like hundreds of years in prison. When these kind of things are decided by a jury, it stands to reason the jury sometimes consists of a bunch of children (regardless of the actual age).

I've been to one once years ago for my birthday. I had never been to one and wondered what it was like. I went with a few friends, and they bought me a lapdance. Picking the girl to do it wasn't hard, as I picked the one girl who actually looked like she enjoyed working there.

We talked for a bit, then she guided me to a back area where she performed the lapdance. She let unhook her bra and feel up her body for a bit.
Afterwards we went back to the main area, where my friends and I had a few more drinks and watched the shows.

It was nice for the experience of it, but I dont really care to do it again.

ALL. THE FREAKING. TIME.

I literally have one right now.
Most of the time I get them because I sometimes accidentally bite the inside of my mouth while I'm eating. I've been looking for something to help prevent it. Someone once suggested wearing a bit over my teeth, though that's no good to me if it only happens when I'm eating, which I can't effectively do while wearing a bit.

Other than that, everyone I talk to about it ends up advising me to just try not to bite the inside of my mouth. Like it's something I'm doing out of indulgence or something, like nail-biting. It's not. I can't help it, and it's fucking annoying.

Favorite is some high praise, what did you like about it?

I really like how the characters bounce off each other, and how it comments on Riggan's own perspective, directly and indirectly.
Sometimes it's wonderfully ironic as well, like when Mike Shiner tells Riggan that this city has forgotten about Riggan and moved on, and immediately after they're approached by a few fans who are like "Hey you're Riggan Thomson! Can we get a picture with you?"
I also like how in that same scene, Mike defends Riggan when talking to the reporter Tabitha, despite criticizing Riggan himself earlier.

The movie is also filled with clever little details that you probably won't notice the first time you watch it, like during the rehearsal at the beginning of the film, Riggan subtly aims his eyes upward, anticipating the lamp that's about to fall on Ralph's head.

And of course the way it's shot like it's one continuous take is pretty cool. There is some digital trickery here and there, but it looks quite seemless.
