I'm not sure how I feel about James Gunn being fired. The reasoning is most definitely stupid... but people are saying this makes for a higher chance that Nova will appear in the next movie. And I want that more than anything I can currently think of.

I'm not surprised anyone would have Full Throttle blocked though, nothing against the guy, but his news topics can get annoying if you don't already have the innate ability to ignore people. There's a lot of them, and his titles always involve LOTS of unnecessary caps LOCK.

Honestly I'm burnt out of the whole cliche/origin story thing. Aquaman doesn't seem as origin storyish, but it's got the "child of two different worlds" angle which is basically his origin story. Shazam is an origin story.

People have internet now, we don't need the origin story anymore. Just throw a few lines of dialogue or a flashback in.

And then do something fucking wacky. Or new. Or anything remotely different. It's not as difficult as they think (okay... disregarding financial logic please). Just have it set further down the line, a few years at best, but at least a year. So the hero is already acquainted with their powers, and we get some nice interactions between characters and villains that already know each other. That already have history, and they can convey that history through intriguing dialogue...

Scarecrow (Batman) [never read the comics, but have watched the Nolan films and played all the Arkham games, so this one's iffier]

He's got his moments in the comics. My favorite being when he struck out to prove he didn't need his toxin to spread mass fear, so he went around killing and tormenting people at random with a knife and some feathers, terrorizing the entire city. He proved his point.

I'm almost all caught up with Brandon Sanderson's cosmere, which is where most of my attention has been directed the past few years. I don't know many authors, chances are I haven't read your favorite book. My hope is to fix that, provided your taste in books are similar to mine -- I seem to only like fantasy.

I think Apple is the only company I actively hate, although they do make it rather easy since their products don't appeal to me in the slightest.

Otherwise I don't find a need to boycott. Convenience matters most to me, so yeah walmart might suck but I used to work there so I know where everything is. Plus their self-checkouts are so much better nowadays, perfect for an anti-social hermit like me.

Yup! My house is on a semi-busy street, though it's still more residential. For instance, my garage is connected to an alleyway that leads to a side street, which only serves the people that live in the area. So there's never any traffic.

I wouldn't be able to stand living on a big street.

Already played the Mega Man X games. Although I've only beaten 1-3, I played a good amount of 4, and then some of 5 and 6. Reaaaaaally looking forward to that legacy collection!

As for Strider 2, it's not on PSN, but there's a new Strider which I guess is a remake of the original? Is that good? It looks pretty dang stylish honestly.

Swordmaster - Good for styling on random enemies with with different kinds of weapon moves. Excellent at building style meter, less useful in boss fights.

It is not less useful in certain boss fights, using a certain uppercut move. It destroys health bars.

This was a good suggestion, I have dabbled in Castlevania a bit so this style of gameplay isn't new to me. All the stylish upgrades are a welcome addition.

I would like something a bit more fast paced though, the lack of control while in the air gets me killed a lot.

What about Shovel Knight do you like?

Good question. Ease of access I'd say is most important, since I suck at sidescrollers, but Shovel Knight is easy enough for me to pick up and play. Spectre Knight even more so, his quick slash attack makes enemies a breeze to deal with and that's what I like.

Granted I still want some challenge, which Shovel Knight had plenty of, I just don't want anything balls to the wall hard. Even Mega Man is borderline too tough for me, I have to be focused to play those, whereas I want something I can just chill out and play.

There seems to be a lot of them. I don't have much experience in sidescrollers, although I am a fan of Mega Man even though I suck at those games. And Shovel Knight is the best.

I've seen stuff like Axiom Verge and Rogue Legacy but I'm not sure those are what I'm looking for (I could be convinced otherwise I suppose), I want something closer to how Spectre Knight plays.

That describes me. I'm a hardcore fan enough to get Kylo's lightsaber tattooed on my arm, but god damn I just don't have the energy to argue with fanboys on message boards about why the Last Jedi is the best movie.

Negativity always seems to get more vocal than positivity. I guess because if you hate something, you're more likely to bitch about it. Whereas if you like something, it gets tiresome to constantly defend it. At some point you just have to concede that haters gonna hate.

What, they've got a forest and a palace, not much of a world. The movie is good because of the characters and the comedy, which probably wouldn't be replicated well for the game. The setting itself isn't all that interesting.

As much as I love the Emperor's New Groove, I don't know how they'd make a world out of that. Treasure Planet or Atlantis would probably be the best of those since they have more fantastical settings. Atlantis could replace Atlantica, the last thing we need is another musical world.

Meet the Robinson's would be a pretty cool world as well.
