well said, I agree. The problem is as @Annihilated points out conservatives have to be very careful with what they say or the entire thread turns into a flame war instantly. And mods clearly have it out for certain users. And it's true conservatives reply to rampant insults like they are real people, but it really is all for naught.

I'm not necessarily talking about flame wars, those are a foregone conclusion the second any leftist enters the conversation. I was mainly talking about violating what the overwhelmingly left leaning mod staff thinks is the ToU. I see them use made up words all the time just to delete random shit: "gaslighting," "concern trolling," "hand waving," none of which is ever explained in the ToU or anywhere in real life. Case in point, RaptorLC ducked my last question of why he was so lenient and even sympathetic towards another user who was far, far more racist than Admiral ever was. Another case in point, there were several very clear flames directed in that topic, none of which were deleted. When I made a topic asking about it, the topic was locked in seconds. It's funny how whatever the mod that warned me thought he was making some kind of point about how we shouldn't imply anything about the mods' bias when they turn around and do exactly the same thing to me.

I'm not really sure, I could go for either. I liked Fallout 3 because the world was so fun to explore. New Vegas on the other hand, I couldn't get over the dull, poorly sculpted world, and had no desire to play it again once I beat it.

It's a waste of time. For one thing the warning usually expires before they even reply. But mainly, mods never read disputes, or even the original message. They just mass spam the "Accept" button until the queue is done.

This was a WARNING, solely for defending a user who isn't even a member anymore. Never mind the fact that there were absolutely no actual comments of his in question, let alone any "obvious offensive" ones. Someone seems a little bit too concerned about what people think about a banned user. Contrast this example to another time shortly after Kineth closed his account. Now this was a guy who was famously bigoted, like it was his whole personality. I mentioned something he had said once, which he was never even modded for at the time, and I was warned within minutes for even referencing it. I explained in the contest that the moderation was overly harsh considering it was something he really said, and it was never modded. Anyone want to guess what the mod's response was? No really, guess. I bet it was the same mod too since they always like to throw around that same buzzword that Kineth made up whenever they can't find anything wrong but want to punish you for it anyway.

Nice of you to put words in my mouth. I'm not saying conservatives don't do anything wrong, hell I myself do a lot of things wrong and will admit to most of it. It's just the disparity between the two is so enormous it's not even worth mentioning. Conservative posters have to be very careful about what they say, and even sometimes that's not enough. Everyone complains about unfair, inconsistent, and dubious moderations, and with good reason. They happen all the time. That being said, The_Admiral had more of those than all of us combined. I really have never seen anything like it. He would often get suspended over basically nothing even after his history cleared. The reasoning behind these offenses ranged from "muh feelings" to "we just don't like him." It seems disingenuous that the mods would profess their mercy towards banning long time users while at the same time docking him for every little thing they could think of over some stupid grudge that they had.

As far as his posting habits went, it's safe to say he brought more to a discussion than most of the leftists on this site do (which is usually zero, but still) since he was always prepared to defend whatever his arguments were. They always responded in a predictable fashion which was calling him a racist for no reason, because they can get away with calling all conservatives racist. One thing I never understood, and this applies to all conservatives on CE and not just Admiral, is that they are always FAR more civil to everyone else than those people deserve, especially the way they're always constantly harassed and attacked. That is a remarkable amount of patience. There are posters with nothing to offer but screeching, hatred, and insults, and yet Admiral and the rest would still respond to them as if they were an actual person with an opinion, albeit in an appropriately snarky kind of way.
