lol you guys act like were worthless... it means youve clearly never tried to work with discord support. They are truly the definition of worthless.

They refused to ban a 12 year old kid (you legally have to be 13 or older to use the platform, its not a subject for debate) because they dont save deleted messages. Also refused to accept screenshots of him saying he was 12 in chat as evidence. So someone could post blatantly illegal content on discord, have everyone see it, then delete and Discord would do nothing because that deleted message does not show up in audit logs, and is gone forever.

These idiots really tried lighting my base on fire in front of me in Don't Starve Together.

So I banned them from the server and hit rollback lmao.

I try to be really accommodating to everyone that joins my world; I leave maps and lanterns at spawn, and try to have a basic gear to survive until they get to base there as well. Surprised these two Webbers were the first griefers. I've had several Willow players (the stereotypical griefer character, because she starts with a lighter) come in and they were all just new players who didn't know how to play.

I guess their plan was to drop spider eggs in a bad spot, then light my base on fire. Even if I didn't catch them right in front of me, this was Spring Year 2 so I had Ice Flingo-matics everywhere so my base wouldn't catch fire in the Summer (impossible to convince scared randoms to base in the Caves).

But that's the other thing. It's a fitness app with microtransactions.

Mega energy earned is proportional to distance walked, it only just pays out when the candy does. So all buddies youve mega evolved a family member of, you get the same mega energy, just given at different points.

I quit the game at the start of last year. It was moving past P2W and into P2Play territory. "Oh, you want a mega? Do a dozen raids. And you can only have one mega at a time, on a timer. And if you mega something else, the first one doesn't refund anything."

You can have a species thats been mega evolved by you already as your buddy, and it will give mega energy every time it gives candy. Still think the mega raid system is sub-optimal though. If you dont jump on them when they get launched, good luck getting other people to do them with you after they have the energy needed to mega evolve.

Really, I feel like the multiplayer makes it a lot more fun. You can accomplish more than just playing by yourself. Plus Together gets a lot more updates as well.

Okay so I tried out Wurt yesterday and she looks cool and all Im just... not a fan of how it feels like you need to babysit so hard

You need to farm because she is a vegetarian (like Merms)

So youre tied down to the farm

You can also build merm houses which require a lot of wood, and can make a merm king that buffs you and all other merms on the map, but you have to feed him, or hell starve after 2 days

Of course you can give someone else a merm disguise and they can feed him but cant trust other people to want to do your job

Compared to Wortox who just seems broken in general because of soul hop and healing off souls, and Wormwood who can grow gardens anywhere and can infinitely generate living logs if he has the health, Wurt seems weak for a paid character

Damn. I think that's the longest I've lasted in single player. I tempted fate by taking on 2 tallbirds at once. Impossible to kite them both.

Fire also spreads slower in together for the same reason.

Also any character that's been changed for Together is probably better in that version. Biggest example being Wendy. She's dogshit in the original version. In Together she's great for farming stuff like spiders though.

It is kind of annoying that Together has like, 14/17 characters unlocked from the start (the other 3 being paid characters, but you can unlock Wormwood for free if you own Hamlet), but you have to grind experience in the original game to unlock characters. I want to be able to play Shipwrecked with Walani for example just to have an easier start my first go. But I have to unlock 7 other characters before her first...

Together Id say is easier than the single player game. Also it has Reign of Giants integrated completely in it, with few exceptions. Shipwrecked and Hamlet are the things that arent integrated (theres a boat but its completely different than the Shipwrecked ones), besides Warly and Wormwood getting character refreshes and ported to Together.

After all these years, its still one of the few survival games thats actually good.

Klei has also given the game a lot of support to my surprise. A bunch of new characters, reworks of characters that have been on the weaker side, tons of new content, caves no longer require a dedicated server to access... I could go on.

Last time I played this game (until like a week ago) was 5 years ago, but coming back the game still feels fresh.
