I don't know if the later games carried the concept forward, but there were rare monsters in the Phantasy Star Online games. If you weren't specifically running quests with large numbers of the common variants, it would take weeks or months of playtime until you spotted one.On FFXI Voluptuous Vilma comes to mind. I'm more interested in a technical deep dive into WHY certain songs hit a certain way. Things like a composer or producer being able to point out how the timing of a key change when layered with the right kind of vocals is designed to elicit a specific response (no idea of any of that is true, just making something up as an example).I've seen videos like that now and then, though now that I think of it I don't recall one about a video game song. --- In simplicity, utility.
