unfortunately a number of netflix original series are trying to write these community nod characters, and it's painfully obvious that the writers themselves are either not familiar with the subjects or very bad at their jobs, because yeah, you do see a lot of these stereotype characters.

it is very much an eyeroll experience.

I tried proving this point yesterday with a gamespot editor to no avail. Basically there was an article about that new Overlord movie with a quote from the filmmaker basically saying how it was good to make a film without having to speak to the social climate. I then quoted from the gamespot review of the same film where the reviewer basically faults the movie for having only one female character in a movie set during WWII. Anyway, that reviewer is who they are making movies and entertainment for now. It cant be great if if doesn't have enough X, Y or Z and even then they move the goal posts and say there isn't enough.

To add to the conversation, there is just too much entertainment period. I feel we are overexposed by entertainment with all the television, movies, youtube, and video games getting their libraries added to constantly, there is no way to take in everything that may appeal to you. Add kids and family to the mix and you just have to enjoy what you can and be OK with that.

I've seen you all grow from middle schoolers on up. I remember people asking what high school was going to be like, how to apply for college, what classes to take, what jobs to get once you got out, to finally landing a job.
You were all full of glitter and rainbows and had a great outlook on life. Now you see the world as it is and can't help but feel jipped. It's all bitching about how much stuff costs and the president. It's hilarious.

I really miss the GameFAQs Archive and WikiFAQs and stuff like that.

Even though traffic on the site has slowed and the community isn't bringing in a lot of new people anymore it was pretty great having those sources of history around. Fun to peruse and all that.

Marth's meltdown where he went on for like 3-4 pages and then started vandalizing WikiCEdia (oh god remember that) after getting suspended was on the Archive IIRC

I recall that as well. I also miss the archive.
