Like, back in the day it was simple to keep up with new games. And there was really one or two machines around to worry about getting to play them.

Im looking at my home theater setup now and its crazy. Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation, PC. All different controllers and ways to charge them. Online subscriptions. Different groups of friends depending on what they use.

And half the games out there have limited time events or multiplayer that dies off after a certain amount of time.

Its too much.

Think about all the things youre missing out on at this very second.

Nah. It's unrealistic to expect to play all the big games or even all the games you want. Always has and always will be.

I feel like there is too much "same old shit".

Also, as I hit 18+, post #2 came true very quickly.

There's always stuff you'll never experience because you missed it or was doing something else, video games included.

Im weening myself starting now. I picked up a used PS4 simply to go back and play some games I missed out on like Bloodborne. But I want to get to a point where Im strictly just PC and Nintendo.

If some PS/XB exclusive comes out on next generation its just going to have to fuck off.

To add to the conversation, there is just too much entertainment period. I feel we are overexposed by entertainment with all the television, movies, youtube, and video games getting their libraries added to constantly, there is no way to take in everything that may appeal to you. Add kids and family to the mix and you just have to enjoy what you can and be OK with that.
