I didn't think of it at the time, but I should have tried using splat bomb to ledge trap by placing it near the ledge. My local Inkling does that, it's really good because it forces the opponent to get off the ledge as it explodes making it easier to react and punish.

Ggs. Inkling is a fun character. Seems like an effective game plan is mixing up spacing bairs and going for dash dance grabs, using jab and nair as get-off-me moves. Inkling is probably the best in the game at capitalizing on knockdowns with either dash grabs or jablock fsmash since they have the best dash dance, and lots of their kit knocks you down. I couldn't figure out how to use roller effectively so I mostly gave up on it, seems gimmicky anyways though it's a good mixup now and then. Backthrow kills unreasonably early at ledge imo.

You seemed to catch on toward the end by mixing it up, but the style of ledge trapping you were doing is countered by get up attack off ledge. It was effective at first because it took me awhile to realize this, but once I did it was probably the main reason I started winning. If you had just held shield by ledge I couldn't get up attack and I'd be limited to the other options. Not that you should always do that either as that has its own counter

I played in a 9 person tourney today, went 3-2 to get 3rd. Went mostly Falcon and basically destroyed the people I beat. Lost twice to the same guy, a very good Palutena player. He 2-0ed then 3-0ed me in losers finals. Think Ant level of skill. Neither Falcon nor Puff can do much against her, might have to try and take Wario seriously

Wario is definitely a work in progress, I might actually start putting time into him now though. My Puff and Falcon are probably still much better right now, though

Also splattershot is pretty good against people who want to camp and keep away. Slowly inking them and forcing them to approach mid range.

Our games are at least close, Falcon can't do anything against G&W though. I'll try the Puff for a bit

He's like a better puff I've heard. Similar air movement while being heavy and having a kill move that compliments his kit. With Wario you always start with 2 stocks instead of 3

Yeah waft is both much stronger and much easier to hit than Rest. You only get one, though, unless the game drags. Being able to land half waft kills is probably critical, half waft is probably about as hard to hit as rest
