Yusuke doing detective ass shit was dropped hella early. No way fam. The beginning of the series opened up with him investigating crimes, gathering evidence, and apprehending criminals. After the series finished introducing the characters that would go on to be Yusuke's best friends it just turned into him punching people. No detective work involved.
