I've been giving my kids their age in allowance, so the $7 year old gets $7 a week.

I also haven't been directly tying their allowance to chores. They have chores they need to do, and lose video games or something if they don't get them done, but I don't want them to expect money just for doing stuff around the house that they should be doing anyways.

This. A dollar per year. Thats what my parents did with me for a while. Then when I turned 13, started having to work for my dad(had his own painting business) on weekends and during school breaks and summer to earn money.

My father in law is a real piece of work. Was banned from family gatherings for telling him to eat a back of dicks after he blamed me for denting his bumper - I hadn't driven the truck in weeks and he refused to admit it might have been him or his son who used the truck daily. We've since worked it out but he is still someone I'm not fond of. Not to mention he berates his kids and wife for the most trivial of things.

Mother in law is cool. Way more laid back and mellow. No issues here.

How do you get that type of mask to stay put? I bought one and have a terrible time getting it to stay secure if I start to move a bit. And if I talk it instantly wants to slide down my nose.

I have long hair and use that to keep it up. Pull the mask over my hair and then tuck it under my glasses in the front. The beanie definitely helps keep it in place.

Not a single one. I dropped out my sophomore year. Not a single person ever reached out to see what happened so I took that as none of them were actually my friend. I see people all the time I went to school with and it's quite nice no one recognizes me. It's that or they despise me. All or nothing.

I work at a smaller machine shop. We've got these types of people at work. Hell, the owner is a good ole boy himself and he has been riding everyones ass about wearing the mask. Laid into two people yesterday for walking around the shop maskless. Caught me off guard because he has been a covid-denier since the beginning.

The exact same thing happened on the Roku app. I didn't mind an ad at the beginning of the video, but it's absolutely obnoxious when they interrupt the video.

I tried watching a martial arts flick last night on a console: im-fucking-possible! Every 3 minutes there is an ad. Fuck outta here. I have premium however it only seems to apply to your mobile. Made me so upset. I immediately found the video on my phone and watched it, begrudgingly, from there.

I have been wearing a mask regardless of ordinances. My father has a severe case of COPD with just around 10% lung function. He is on oxygen 24/7. For his sake, I wear the mask.

When it comes to my place of work, I would get shamed daily for wearing a mask, called a sheep, belittled by the rest of my coworkers, except for one. He noticed my mask and within a day, he too started wearing one. I explained to him my fathers condition and he was with it immediately.

Am I a sheep for being concerned for my fathers health and wearing a mask? I've read contradictory articles about pros and cons of wearing masks - however I don't want to take chances. We stopped physically going into grocery stores and do curbside pick-up. We don't order take-out anymore either.

All this being said, we take all the precautions we can to be as safe and sanitary as possible(in regards to our home) but if everyone at work is acting like they aren't concerned am I just delaying the inevitable? This is literally the only place where people aren't following ordinance so it is my greatest concern having to come in day in and day out with what I am going to call selfish individuals.
