---Devin--- 07/29/22 5:06:10 PM #66 | ROBANN_88 posted... iirc, the only reason he suspected someone with connection to police was cause Light switched up the time of deaths right after L noted they all happen at the same time of day No, he said he suspected because there were personal files only the police had access too. Time of day is when he suspected it was a student. |

---Devin--- 07/29/22 1:14:47 AM #52 | LordMarshal posted... But taking the deal halves your life apan yet they are broad af on that. I mean Ryuk is kind of a fucked up person lol. He only did any of this because he wanted excitement and humans were interesting to him. His manga-self is even more cold to Light than the Anime at the end. Anime made it seems like Ryuk considered him a friend. |

They give you rules to try to work around but they have plenty you just cant because its what ever the writer says or its up for interpretation. What are you even saying. It was established with pre-destined death the entire time throughout this series. If it was a plot hole I could see but it never was. You have multiple stuff with fiction like this such as Final Destination. We can even see Misa was suppose to die way earlier on by the stalker but a shinigami saved her life which added his years to hers. |

---Devin--- 07/29/22 12:37:05 AM #39 | Hoodroar posted... Light had multiple outs past that event. You don't get caught in this scenario unless you want to be. I mean it's true Mikami wouldn't ever know as Light gave him freewill. There was basically no communication IIRC between the two as Light trusted him fully. |

---Devin--- 07/29/22 12:28:05 AM #35 | LordMarshal posted... Whatever the remaining was was much longer than he lived. The deal doesnt really make sense anyways tbh. Would it predict his demise and half the time until the original end of the show? It's pretty much pre-destined. Light's lifespan clearly was much longer but Ryuk was not wanting to see him Rot in jail and be bored all day. So he killed Light himself. I mean he pretty much says in both versions he will be the one to write Light's name in his own Death Note. Light did not know his own timespan nor can Ryuk give that information out. So if he had say 20 years left why would he want live for only 10? |

---Devin--- 07/29/22 12:17:55 AM #30 | LordMarshal posted... Light was written stupid. The eye deal would have made him possibly succeed. L would be dead immediately. He'd also give up half of his life span. Light didn't want to do that which is why he had Misa constantly do it for him. |

---Devin--- 07/29/22 12:07:39 AM #28 | cuttin_in_farm posted... Keep in mond, Light also clued people he is a student by not changing his killing times. Light definitely was not bad at killing. He really only got caught in the end because his supporter did not listen to what he said and was going off on a whim. |
