Yeah, that definitely seems like the type of thing that would be affected by where you live. Like how there are certain areas that want Christianity taught in public schools, I'd imagine some areas insert religious teachings into AA meetings

It's interesting how much push-back there seems to be against the idea of not wanting to date someone with kids these days, here and just in general, because it seems reasonable enough to me. I don't particularly want children and never have, for a variety of reasons, and it seems like it would be difficult, if not impossible, to have a relationship and life with someone with kids without eventually having to assume some responsibility for their kids, financially and otherwise, even just by being an adult regularly present in their lives, but especially if the relationship progresses to the point of living together, blending finances, sharing responsibilities, etc.

You guys need to understand something. While no one in this topic may be doing it, men online are very very hateful towards single mothers. So when it comes up, it gets a lot of pushback because these women do not deserve the hate that's being slung their way. I've seen single moms called derogatory things like "used goods" and men who date them are similarly insulted for being "stupid enough" to raise a child that's not theirs. The discourse about it is insane.

But I also think that a lot of guys are too hard on themselves. Things like "I wouldn't make a good father." I thought the same thing about myself, but here I am co-parenting my 9 year old and people keep telling me how good of a job I'm doing. I never would have imagined this 10 years ago.

And to be clear, no one is saying you have to date a single mom. If you don't want to, then don't. But I do think some guys are missing out on potentially good partners because of that mindset.

I still use tons of batteries. A lot of kids toys still use them. My son got a Christmas present today that required 4 C batteries. And another toy required 2 AAA batteries. I keep AA, AAA and D batteries stocked up, but the C battery was one we never needed until now. So looks like I'll be getting those at the store tomorrow lol

No, I'm not saying that every person that disliked it is harassing her. But even if only 1% of those 52k people actually harassed her, that's still hundreds of people.

And it's not something that happens one day and then stops. It's harassment that continues for quite some time. Like the character model for Abby (Last of Us Part 2), was getting death threats for years after the game's release. So yeah, it makes sense to just post some artwork at the haters instead of trying to pm each one. The fact that you think it's only 2 is the laughable part.

Eh... The world was okay. I wouldn't call it one of the best. It did keep my interest long enough for me to finish the story though.

Because going by the mass dislikes on the trailer, there's a lot more than just 2 people harassing her. When you have hundreds, possibly thousands, of assholes harassing you over nothing, it's much easier to just post that publicly than to respond to each and every bigot one by one.

I say yay for all of those. Need for Speed Heat was actually a lot of fun and had a decent story mode. The only downside is that it's clearly unfinished (I blame EA). But what is in the game is very good. One of the most well liked Need for Speed games in a long time.

Maybe in one of the peaceful sci-fi worlds. Like Academia in FF13-2 looks pretty cool.

Nah, I feel like actual fans of the series are fine with on foot, they just don't want it to be the entire game. Or want it to dominate as much as it did in assault. It should be noted that the default control scheme was also awful for assault as well.

For me it's the other way around. Make a side game that's focused on the third person shooting. But then also give us a game that focuses on the vehicle combat like the old games did. I don't want them together in one game as it feels really jarring to be getting into a groove with the arwing to suddenly have an on foot level.

God no. Maybe if they got the From Software that existed 16 years ago. Armored Core: For Answer is still my favorite AC game. It had tons of customization and the combat was the fastest it had ever been in the series. It wasn't the "Sekiro with mechs" that AC 6 became. None of that stagger gauge bullshit, just fast paced mech goodness.

I think the biggest things have been just learning my own boundaries and learning what type of women are good fits and bad fits for me.

For example, personality is far far more important for me than looks now. Like I'm still attracted to the women I date, but gone are the days where looks are the only thing I focus on. Because her being hot can't be the only thing that keeps us together. And that was unfortunately learned the hard way by me pursuing really hot women that I had absolutely nothing in common with lol.

Well I hope you reach a point where you're able to trust again. Definitely use the betrayal as a learning lesson, but don't let it weigh you down.

Like, my ex cheated on me. And while I will never trust her again, I still trust other women. I just learned how to better articulate my boundaries, how to spot what should be red flags and when to just walk away instead of trying to make things work.

And now I have a much healthier relationship with an amazing woman.

I think that age gap can work if both parties are a bit older. When I was 30, I tried to date a woman at my job that was 42 and had 3 kids that were 24-26. We got along really really well, to the point that a few people at the office thought we were dating. But she didn't see me in a romantic way at all lol.

The problem is Nintendo always seems to want to make Star Fox some tech demo. The 3D graphics worked for the SNES game. The N64's gimmick was the rumble pack and full voice acting which didn't effect the gameplay at all. Command would have been a much better game if it didn't have that garbage control scheme. I haven't played Zero but most seem to agree the mulitiscreen gimmick was terrible.

Yeah Zero was a pain in the ass. Motion controls that you couldn't turn off and the stupid multiscreen segments.

I don't have high hopes for the main whisker squadron game though. Procedurally generated might get old very quickly and without a canonical storyline or route as an option, I can't get too invested.

Yeah roguelites don't tend to be very story focused. So it depends on what you want out of the game.
