So, Katy Perry is referencing the fact that fake AI photos of her at the Met Gala fashion show are fooling people on the internet, including apparently even her own mom. "Hold on to your common sense hat this fall" pretty clearly refers to how fake photos are gonna get used more and more in election season.

But check the comments, and it's all either bots or perhaps very dumb people, all rocking the blue checkmark since Twitter boosts those to the top of replies. Without the context, they have all parsed the tweet as being about Katy Perry's next fashion appearance or something.

Half the board thinks it's some grand conspiracy to intentionally reintroduce toxic users so that he can make a case for shutting the board down entirely. The last time I suggested that he simply didn't care and was letting people in without vetting them I got dog piled. People are getting really unhinged over all of this.

I think it's another point of frustration because the guy is supposed to be community manager or something but doesn't seem to listen to the community. Obviously there are issues that he can't budge on like fandom policies, but there's been very little in the way of shows of goodwill and a lot of mishandling. I figured out the one plugged into the gold splitter already is the one that goes to the bedroom (it's labeled). Several of them are unlabeled and there's no living room label. So I just need to trial and error plugging one of the others into the top and see if they connect?

The first thing you should do is find the main cable (signal source) that comes into the house and mark it with a sharpie or tag it. Then comes the fun part...trace all those other cables to see where they are going. Once you do that, eliminate any splitters/cables you dont need.

After you get rid of the excess splitters/cables, it should be simple to connect everything. How many rooms/devices are we talking about?

I think the house above the basement has 5 coax outlets. None of them are being actively used right now. What i want is to connect the house's internet modem (in the living room) to a computer in the bedroom, having the outlets act as Ethernet ports using moca adapters. So all that matters is getting the internal connection between those two rooms. Nobody else uses the house's coax adapters, and there's no active cable subscription or anything like that.

IDK why all the splitters are there, this stuff may have been installed and left this way before I was even born for all I know.
