Inspection came back with nothing too series. Front brakes/rotors, shocks, and tie rods needed replacing. About $2000 altogether counting the tune up, alignment, etc. and while I could probably get a local place to knock a few hundred off that but I'd rather it just be taken care of today and that's significantly less than I was expecting to pay.

So the total cost of this thing ends up being about $7500 with purchase, repairs, and personalization shit (carplay, seat covers, etc) for a solid little truck that I'll only be driving like 6000 miles a year.

For that price if it even lasts a year I'll be satisfied, but I plan on keeping it as long as possible.

Still pretty sure the oil change place was dead wrong on there being a major leak. Not a drop on the garage floor, no burning oil smell, and dipstick still looked good. I put about 40 miles on it at highway speeds last night too so plenty of time to get everything moving through the various systems.

Feels like they spilled oil during the change and called it a leak >_>

Only things that seem wrong with it are weak acceleration on startup-once it warms up after a few minutes it feels mostly fine(hoping the tune-up will solve that bit), and suspension probably needs some work since the rides kinda bumpy.

Call me a doomer but... Trump outperformed the polls in both 2016 and 2020, and he's currently polling better than he did in either of those years. He's the favorite IMO

And the GOP as a whole lost in 2018 and 2022 as well, when polls said otherwise (for 2022 at least, don't recall 2018)

They haven't had a real victory since 2016

Used car market is crazy. We just got a car for my husband and donated his old car (2010 Nissan murano, needed tires, muffler and the radiator had a huge crack). Shit you couldnt drive that thin a half mile without all the radiator fluid pouring out and it overheating, Needless to say we didnt want to try and trade it in - we knew it was a piece of shit. So we had one of those donate your car places tow it away. We got a letter from them and someone paid $1400 for it! WTF.

Maybe they had a Murano with good tires, muffler, and radior but had some other shit wrong with it and $1400 for your shitbox as a donor car was cheaper than fixing it at a mechanic >_>

So the oil change place said it has a "major oil leak." Got home and I did notice a couple small oil spots on the garage floor where it had been parked for the ~6 hours I had it there, so I cleaned that up and placed a bit of cardboard down and checked yesterday morning. No drips.

Drove it for about an hour to go pick something up across town and brought it back, and it did smell like oil was burning a bit when I got out of the truck but when I checked the cardboard again last night there was just a single drop. Dipstick looked good. Checked again this morning and no new oil on the cardboard.

So I'm thinking their diagnosis of "major leak" was probably because of a bunch of old residual oil that was on the engine making it look like a bad leak, and that's the oil causing the burning smell.

Either way I'm having it fully inspected tomorrow evening anyway so we'll see what they find. I figure if I can get like 8-10k all-in on this thing counting the purchase price and necessary repairs and then have it last a couple years I'll get my money's worth from it.
