Things that I still need to do:

• Update post-preseason depth charts
• Add in remaining free agent contracts I didn't get to plus signings I had to make for user teams during preseason
• Conference/Divisional predictions
• RotY predictions
• Create new topic
• Record draft class (not necessary to move forward)

The plan is to start the regular season by mid October so that the regular season ends around mid December. Then we take the holiday break (plus give people time for award ballots) before ending the season early January.

Coaching Strategies

I will momentarily send users the current coaching strategy utilized by their team. Each user has an opportunity to alter some portions of how their team operates on the field. Here are the following categories you can change and what they mean:

Base Defense
You have a choice of 4-3 or 3-4. Under a 4-3, you start 2 DTs and 1 MLB. Under a 3-4, you start 2 MLBs and 1 DT.

Run-Pass Offense
The ratio of plays that will be run or pass plays on offense. This is on a sliding 100 point scale.

Conservative-Aggressive Offense
The ratio of plays that will be risk-averse or risky on offense. This is on a sliding 100 point scale.

Running Back Splits
How carries will be split among the top two RBs on your depth chart. This is on a sliding 100 point scale. That being said, I feel like coaches ignore whatever you put under this category and do whatever they please. That or RB2 actually refers to all HBs/FBs/QBs/WRs/TEs who may run with the ball and are not RB1.

Run-Pass Defense
The ratio of plays that will be geared more toward run-stopping or pass-rushing plays on defense. This is on a sliding 100 point scale.

Conservative-Aggressive Defense
The ratio of plays that will be risk-averse or risky on defense. This is on a sliding 100 point scale.

Having two similar second-chance projects sounds like overkill, but if you have really never done a project before, by all means be the one to do it!

Choo Choo Crossing (PC)

It feels to call this one beaten as I figured it was a scoring game with no fail states, but the credits rolled at the end, so whatever. You basically have to get these train passengers to the opposite end that they came from, but all the characters have their quirks that you need to deal with like sluggish speeds, randomly sleeping, wandering off, and kicking other passengers. It gets quite hectic as it goes on, and I feel like I did pretty bad only making around 2/3 of the passengers happy.

Another short shopping game. I thought that I saw and experienced quite a bit, but some screenshots show a place or two that I never even saw. I got:

Islands: Non-Places (PC)

A puzzle game of sorts. You basically go through some surreal scenarios and rotate the camera to find blinking objects to click on. I thought it was worth the 30 or so minutes.

I will see if more people have an opinion between another round of this vs choosing losers as our second chance thing (I'm now leaning toward the latter). I will ultimately make a decision and a new topic within a few hours.

That's right, wallmasterz has supplanted lordloki's record victory by a week. Unfortunately, with there being 18 weeks in the regular season now, wallmasterz still has to make 15 consecutive winning picks to survive the entire season. Good luck!

Dogs Throwing Swords II: Three Barks To The Wind (PC)

More of a horizontal shmup than a beat 'em up (bark 'em up was how it was labeled), I regretted my choice of dog team (left out the dog mage) once I understood how the game really was, but I managed to survive its six or so levels. I even had one at just one HP for most of the final two levels.

Dpanneur Nocturne (PC)

A short surreal shopping game. I made the mistake of initially answering in French since I was trying to be considerate of the shopkeeper not knowing that was the game's way of asking if you wanted things to be in English or French. Once I restarted it, things went by pretty quickly and smoothly. Here is what I ended up with:

The game is short enough to easily replay it, so I am intrigued to see the responses for other objects that I didn't or couldn't get.

Cuckoo Castle (PC)

It's a pretty neat GB-style action game. They call it a Metroidvania, but I wouldn't. I think that they call it call because you need to go back to the starting point to switch to a different character that will allow you to access a different area of the castle, but that's really it. It was fun, and I'm glad there was a map button even if it just had the bare minimum info, not even your current location.

Daydreamour (PC)

I got Downwell vibes from looking at its cover art, and while it does share the minimalistic 8-bit art style (I'm sure there's an actual name for it), this is instead a very tight and short pure platformer. I beat it in 12 minutes with 9 deaths (8 of which were at the same place).

Paradise Marsh (PC)

If this was a sandbox wanderer, it would be pretty cool, but as a game with creature-collecting at its core, I found it to be tedious and frustrating at times.
