Yeah. I replayed it somewhat recently and the first 60% of the game is literally a series of hallways with little effort to disguise that. I think my biggest issue on my first playthrough, though, was how the game just immediately bombards you with a bunch of lore speak with little context. All of the jargon left me clueless as to what was happening for half the game and I didn't realize until much later that they apparently expected people to read the data logs. The trilogy's lore is actually pretty interesting but they could've done a better job of introducing it.

I don't really watch basketball anymore, but it feels a bit surreal to see teams like the TWolves and Knicks in serious contention.

I'm almost done pre-farming for Skirk already, just have to do the world boss a bunch more. RNGesus has been kind to me on her artifact set while I still struggle to get good codex pieces

I rather enjoyed some of the stuff immediately after, Loki and What If especially. I think I was pretty burnt out by the time She Hulk rolled around though, and I gave up on the whole thing for a while mid way through it, I've only seen a few of the movies since.

In the process of getting mats for Skirk's weapon I noticed that I never got the ascension mats for the sword of narzissenkreuz. Feels like I've been coming upon these sorts of months long oversights a bunch lately.

Apparently Rhinedottir is a shade now??!! Don't know what that's gonna mean going forward but it's feeling increasingly like the Primordial One is just dead, given the lack of response to any of these things that seem like massive affronts to his authority. And yeah, pretty cool to see Durin, maybe he's actually the mystery 5.8 character?

Also, I feel like this is the biggest misdirection they've ever done in a version trailer. Not a word about Durin at all throughout the whole livestream as I recall.

No one besides you said anything about the character doing or wanting to do this, what is your train of logic here?

Anyway, I don't think banning gacha would be any more sensible than banning alcohol or whatever. It's just another form of escapism, you're not addressing the actual issues that are driving people to these sorts of unhealthy behaviors. I also find it a bit odd that American sports games so rarely come up in these discussions given that they're essentially full priced gacha games that reset your "characters" every year.

I'm the type of person who sticks to one game for hours and hours, even beyond the point that it's "replayable." So the repetitiveness doesn't really even register with me. I do tend to get a bit bored with Genshin towards the end of each year of the game but the new region always brings me back. Also helps that my main draw to the game is the story and lore, I don't care that much about the gacha stuff at this point

Just finished the main world quest

Wasn't expecting the game to actually let me wipe out the entire world (Natlan? They kept saying Natlan but I'm not sure how that would work. Was there just a big pool of phlogiston where Natlan used to be? Anyway...). That moment left me simultaneously in shock and a bit annoyed that I had to redo that bunch of text.

New map is hella fun, can't wait to get into the world quest this weekend.

Got my first wasted 5* on the way to Varesa with C7 Mona

A lot of the discourse around Varesa reminds me of that story that went viral years ago about a teacher who a bunch of parents were complaining about, saying she was dressing inappropriately. In reality she wasn't dressed any differently from any other teacher, she was just caked up as hell. Like, Yanfei is dressed very similarly and got nowhere near this reaction

I read the 5.5 artifact lore for the first time today.

It's really interesting to me that, taken together with Nabu Malikata's words to Deshret in Flowers of Paradise Lost, this basically confirms that the abyss/forbidden knowledge is the "truth" of the universe, and introducing it to Teyvat has the effect of breaking the illusion that the primordial one set up. Only question is why the PO is so dead set on maintaining Teyvat as it is. Pretty much everyone who becomes aware of what they're doing (the outlander and angel who fell in love, Deshret, presumably the Abyss sibling and order) are all "what the fuck is wrong with you, holy shit" and tries to overthrow them.

It also seems to confirm the theory that Nibelung was the third descender? I've seen some people still argue against that but given the context of the whole thing about light being split into seven hues it definitely feels like it's still referring to Nibelung.

The archon quests have kinda been building us up to this already, each progressively challenging Celestia's authority to a greater degree. But it looks like they're really setting up something big for Nod Krai that's gonna push us into the endgame of the story

There were parts of aranara that were a bit annoying but overall I enjoyed it quite a lot. Especially the latter parts of it

It's just a mini oven with a fan and exhaust. Stuff gets crispy in it because the fan blows the heat onto it more directly and the moisture comes out of the exhaust.

It's been obvious since at least 2016 that this is where we're headed, though I didn't think it would happen this quickly.

I play Genshin because I enjoy the story, lore and atmosphere. Modern pity systems make it pretty easy to get what you want, it barely even counts as gambling anymore unless you're trying to get literally every character or just started playing

Along with "True Communism" you're never going to actually get "True Anarchy" the closest you're going to get is an honor system politics & barter economy as those are the only systems that function in the absence of a state.

Not sure why this turned into a critique of anarchy rather than just defining it, but I would say that "true capitalism" isn't any more attainable yet we live in a capitalistic civilization. Even if we carry an understanding that the ideal isn't likely it behooves us to push as far as possible for a more equitable society because that's how good policy happens
