I'm not going to hold a grudge against Michael Richards for life over something that was said well over a decade and a half ago that he apologized for with sincerity which is going to haunt him for the rest of his life. But I also can't condemn anyone who will as forgiveness isn't guaranteed through an apology.

I'd ask if you lived under a rock but I think even people who live under rocks knew that. So instead my question is were you in a coma for the past decade?

Maybe because a lot of that stuff was "best of" that the audience had been listening to since the 1980s because that's how big shows with legacy entertainers go.

You don't go to a pink Floyd concert and then be like:
"Well I expect I won't hear anything from The Wall or Darkside. I hope they ONLY play new material!"

Maybe his regular appearances had him replaying old bits but his specials had him preform new material and his last special was not that funny.

A lot of his early stuff is great, but it's hit or miss with some genuinely baffling bits that don't go anywhere. As an old man he has perfected the craft.

Yeah, his 2000's stuff was more old man yells at cloud with more misery than humor. In the '80s he could still get a counter cultural point across without coming off as battery acid bitter.

4 in both my college suite freshman year and in a duplex I lived in during grad school. Neither were great experiences. The college suite had 3 roommates that I called the stooges because they partied almost every single night and put me and the other guy in an awkward situation as the college decided that people in the suite should share group responsibility for any policy violations and they got caught with weed and alcohol several times. Eventually they were booted out of the residency halls and we got 3 other roommates who were better but had their own problems (2 of them did anyway)

In grad school the situation was a bit different. I moved in to a duplex that already had four people there as I filled in to make up for someone who moved out. Since these 4 had been so chummy with each other throughout undergrad I never was anything other than 'the new guy' to them. They left passive aggressive notes all over the apartment whenever I did something that displeased them instead of fucking talking to me like an adult. When we all moved out they stayed in touch with each other but basically cut me off from being anything more than a Facebook friend.

I will never live with men again.

Yeah kicking out of a finisher at one shouldn't happen.

Basically a one count makes the defender look more like a professional athlete that can't be taken down easily and helps sell the illusion of it being a real contest. If everything gets at least a two count it makes the product seem more like the staged theater that it is.

I think one counts help sell the professional part of professional wrestlinng.

The sad thing is even though I'm not an atheist my mother can't seem to acknowledge that I belive in a God but not the one of the Bible. To her like many antitheists online she sees most people in two camps Christian and atheist. It's really sad how fears of "the enemy" can lead people to believe that the enemy they're so much against is made up of people that reject the false dichotomy you put them in.

FWIW, I rejected Christianity because I couldn't reconcile how it claimed the good afterlife was a Christian country club while the bad one was for bad people and everyone else.

For reasons I fully don't understand abolishing slavery wasn't really seen as a realistic goal in antiquity. Almost everyone saw it as natural part of life, I think it might have something to do with how warfare was back then but I'm not sure.

Given what scholars have said about Jesus of Nazareth I think he probably saw slavery as an evil that couldn't be overcome by humans or at least not before the apocalypse came and Yahweh hit the reset button in achieving the kingdom of God Jesus spoke of where it would be abolished then.

Also on the subjet of haircuts that's also one part of Christianity that comes from Paul of Tarsus not Jesus. Funny how much of the religion of Jesus is really the religion of Paul.
