guffguy89 04/27/25 10:05:07 PM #279	I got it on my first try! The run: Had the scepter with me, already set to blue. Drafted an observatory early, and since I had 50+ stars, it gave me the star reroll perk. I also had the King piece perk, but did not set it immediately. Filled up the rooms and got near the antechamber. Thats when I activated the King perk to black and I got the throne room two steps from the foundation. Thanks to star reroll, I was able to open the west antechamber door and get the crown. Then I used the foundation to get to the outer room, used star reroll until I got the shrine, stole the idol, and hightailed it back through the foundation to the throne room. Lore tidbit: What's interesting is that it appears this revolution that is in the early stages of developing is not to resurrect the old kingdom, but rather rebirth it into a new kingdom (with the same lineage). Thus the blue color and new logo rather than black and the old logo. Interesting if I'm understanding that correctly. --- Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.

From what I gathered, after successfully stealing the crown, she set off to continue working in the resistance movement. I thought in a parlor letter it said she was supposed to return in two years, but it's been six years, so either she died or is still actively in the resistance? Do we know definitively one way or the other? --- Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.

Day 88 past the point where I can get any trophies on this playthrough just working on this final puzzle Just got the ~~Key of Aries from the crypt area underneath the Chess Puzzle area.~~ Next up will be ~~drawing the Treasure Trove in the Outer Room and using the key there~~ Then I gotta go to the throne room with the Blue Crown, the Cursed Effigy and the item from that Treasure Trove to unseal the final blue door in the long underground hallway behind all the boxes (which I've already moved with custom science experiments) I'm doing this step right now as well! I just got access to the ~~Key of Aries~~ and now just need to set things up and do what you said. However, I still am not done ~~clearing the boxes~~ yet, and I am missing one ~~sanctum key~~! I think it's in ~~the vault~~. Haven't come across the right ~~vault key~~ yet. --- Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.

Had a magical run during FFX-0 (my favorite thematic run of SMFFFC), and survived long enough to be stats eligible. The only travesty is that he was hard booted right before the tournament of dads contest. The fact that he missed that one (and the possible minor boost he could've gotten from it) is the one regrettable thing for me. --- Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.

I chose this round to let him go, not because I wanted to, but rather out of necessity, to give him a proper sendoff before I change my focus next contest to other characters. And I feel doing it this way is better than letting him die as a 90s hard boot. Rest well in the farplanes Braska. If you want to know - ~~its west wing only, when you are drafting into a south facing door going down.~~ I tend to make this unlikely because my habit from the very beginning of the game was ~~to draft west and go straight up until I hit the garage,~~ which eliminates most opportunity for this There is a way to bypass having to use the garage every run to get to that exterior room. --- Don't mind me. Figured my run was just about over until I dug up a ~~stopwatch~~. Needless to say, I quickly plowed through a bunch a rare/expensive rooms that I would've never afforded and got some nice advancement out of it. Makes me feel better for the mistake I made my previous run when I broke the ~~piggy bank~~ in the chapel without realizing that was a one time thing. --- Don't mind me. The menu screen makes it look like there's only enough room for 4, but there's more.~~ One thing I like about this game is you can have one or two bad runs, but then you get a really good one where you unlock a bunch of stuff and make good progress. I'm on Day 20ish and I just reach room 46 for the second time, getting my first ~~sanctum key~~. This time I got in from the ~~east side~~ when I accidentally discovered the ~~lever in the hall~~. --- Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.

The only thing I don't like is how much time flies while playing this game. It's one of those games that for whatever reason really distorts the perceived time I'm spending playing the game. It took forever for me to figure out how you got the percentages to work until I realized I had to add +1 to the formula. I have all the names in, and now I just need to finish manually populating the results, but some early testing shows its working! Quick question: The bahamut from contests 25 and 26 was Bahamut (FFX), correct? Which is different from the previous Bahamut (FFI) or are those stats combined? --- Don't mind me.
