Yeah, in that film the cry of anguish seems to be frustration at having to kill the last of his kind, rather than having to kill generally.

I also point out the scene where he destroys that asshole truckers rig near the beginning of the movie. I get the guy was being awful to the waitress, but the Clark Kent I know would have handled that differently. He wouldnt have destroyed the guys truck and therefore his livelihood. Clark would instead humble him and push him to be better. Snyders version of Clark was just too cynical for my liking.

He calmly talks to the guy, gives him a chance to apologize, and even gives him a chance to step outside so his daughter wont have to see. He only uses force when the guy attacks him first and he only uses just enough to humiliate him without hurting him. And then to top it off he lets him know that hes not the one to be afraid of, but his wife is, showing how much he truly respects Lois. Thats Clark Kent

The issue in Man of Steel was never that he killed him, but it's that there wasn't really a throughline in the story that made it have an emotional impact. There's no real follow up afterwards either, and Clark is seen completely emotionally fine the next scene.

Theres also the fact that Clark not killing was never really established in MoS either. I mean Pa Kent told him he should have let kids die so its hard to really tell where Clarks moral compass is in that film

Also re: Iron Man and Vegeta, they frequently eat shit and get humbled, which I think is the key to arrogant characters. Anyone can be as haughty as they want, so long as they don't feel "invincible". Even Sherlock Holmes was made a fool in his first short story. >_>

Yeah. Arrogant characters need a good humbling every now and then to keep them likable. A great example would be when Batman knocked out Guy Gardner in a single punch when Guy being a jackass as usual lol

I tend to think that Vegetto and Gogeta are supposed to have the same personality. The major deviation was stoic Gogeta in M12.

I always thought with Vegito Vegeta is the main personality while with Gogeta its Goku. Gogeta in the Broly fight was smiling and laughing while having the time of his life a lot like Goku

In regards to music, Ive read that for people on the spectrum listening to music is the same as a neurotypical person listening to music while on LSD. Im not sure how true that is, but Ive always had a very intimate connection to music and often hear minor details in songs others dont catch. So maybe theres truth to it
