HOLY SHIT - Dean Ween of Ween plays guitar on 3 of these tracks!! (Six Shooter, Gonna Leave You, and Mosquito Song) How cool. Era Vulgaris is till the better album but what a great collab.

1) No One Knows - Im ashamed to say that I never knew this song was by QotSA, heard it a ton on the radio back in high school, its a great one. I love that everyone throws in these little fills from time to time to give it more flavor when it otherwise might have started to feel a bit repetitive, definitely doesnt sound like theyre just going through the motions. Dont need more of the radio DJ stuff at the end, but that was of course cut out for the radio edit. Truly a made-for-radio hit, very catchy.
2) Song for the Dead - very good jam, particularly the bridge + Josh & the drummer locking in in the outro
3) Mosquito Song - interesting that they whipped out a mini-orchestra for a hidden track! Minus that part, this really sounds like it could be a Ween song. Some good Deaner guitar on this one mmhmm.

6) Go With the Flow - ooo some driving piano 8th-notes - pretty much stayin on the same note the whole song lol but I still like it. I want something good to die for...to make it beautiful to live

8) The Real Song for the Deaf - HUH?? WHA?? wellkinda accurate. The POV of someone hearing-impaired, where maybe you can only feel the vibrations of the bass. Or as one insightful YouTube commenter puts it, what me and my buddies hear in the alley outside the club because we got caught with fake ID's at the entrance and can't go in
9) Another Love Song - guitar quite reminiscent of Muse. unfortunately, more weird radio gimmick in the outro.

12) Song for the Deaf - lol what is that mini laughing jam at the end. strange but made me smile.
13) You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire - I like the accurate parody of an LA DJ, but musically I dont find this to be a very strong opening track. Its cool when the guitar finally comes in hard about halfway through, but Im not a fan of the borderline-screaming, AC/DC-like vocals. Plus, not exactly a memorable title.
14) Six Shooter - uhoh more screamin. Dont recall hearing Josh try this vocal style until hearing this album..please do not. Thankfully short but I dont even get the point of including this.
15) Do It Again - the radio gimmick was already wearing thin..then they end this track with like a minute of it -_- oh no

Just started my listen but yeah I think No One Knows has to be first, I heard that all the time on the radio back in the day but didn't know it was QotSA!

I agree they pushed the radio gimmick too hard - would've been perfect to just open with the LA DJ parody and leave it at that

Some close calls but none yet, knock on wood. I did roll over on the freeway once in an ice storm though, that was something. Incredibly, there was no one else around me, and I landed right-side up, on the shoulder, facing forward. One of the few times I felt like some supernatural force was watching over me.

Both started strong then tanked hard with the 2nd entry. Still gotta favor Star Wars just cuz I like that franchise way better, and Force Awakens, even with its flaws, had me fallin' in love with the series all over again.

TMNT2 for NES is definitely still a cool game in its own right - the snow level is a really cool addition - but just comparing it straight-up to TMNT Arcade......oof. Plus I've made very clear that I feel TMNT3 is much better

Throwing foot soldiers into the screen is a fun effect, and for me whipping them around into other foot soldiers and hitting as many other enemies as you can as you slam them back and forth is very satisfying

It really is.

I still prefer the arcade version of Turtles in Time of course, but overall the SNES version is a far better port than TMNT2: The Arcade Game for NES.

Was watching the live Detroit concert from Michigan Central Station tonight, and my dad asked me for my "Mount Rushmore of Detroit music artists." My only lock is Jack White. I think I'd then take Stevie Wonder and Eminem for #2 and #3, but I've had a lot of trouble coming up with a 4th. Would maybe go with a newer, lesser-known pick like The Hard Lessons, but I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. (Electric Six is also a contender)
