Only Origins. Everything I heard about 2 made it sound like a pile of shit. I didnt want to install Origin on my PC to play Inquisition, though I think I eventually bought it on Steam. Still havent played it and Im in no hurry. All the good talent left BioWare after Origins, if not before.

David Gaider was the lead writer of all 3 games and all 3 games have strong writing.

DA2 isn't "bad" at all, it's just that Dragon Age Origins took 6 years to develop and was designed for PCs. Dragon Age 2 was rushed out after 14 months and designed for Consoles. So there are some serious game design issues holding it back.

They followed gold with silver so people were mad, but silver is still good and valuable.

I really like some of DA2's ideas and I wish the devs were given more time.

I'm kinda pumped that they're going to Minrathous.

They've talked it up for 3 games now but we've never seen it.

They dropped the ball on Val Royeaux in Inquisition though. 1 unimpressive street was not it fam.

Over simplyifying the dialogue allowed them to have a voiced protaganist in 2 and Inqusition just like in Mass Effect.

And yes I know technically the Warden has ambient dialogue lines in battle.

I like what they did with Rhys, it helps you understand Cole and I like more exploration of the Wardens/Maric/Loghain

Rowan is mentioned like twice in all of DA:O And she's vital to the lore

Origins was a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and tried to keep carry forward some of the design choices from that series.

After Origins, they tried to make Thedas their own thing and give it its own styling

As much as the first game gets shit on for its dialogue, A LOT of my cousins in Seattle also use "hella"....hell of a lot of times as well. Apparently it's a Northwest thing in the states. There's a lot of "this is how boomers think millenials/zoomers talk" in the game, but at least they got "hella" right lol.

I will say in LiS1's defense. The characters are supposed to be socially awkward nerds. So them saying stupid things or dated memes actually makes sense.

People focus on "hella" and "ceral" but to me none of that really sticks out as that bad. What sticks out is these teenage girls talk like they're 30/40 year old French men.

The writers did a poor job at running their dialogue by actual teenagers after they thought up the story in their heads

It's ok.

It's not terrible or anything but it also doesn't have the feels that LiS1 had. The writing is worse, the characters are less interesting, the scenarios are less relatable, the powers are less dynamic. There's also some real laziness with how little there is to explore in the town.

It very much has the feel of "Life Is Strange: Another One"

Which if you wanted more, hey it's more. And it's not bad in anyway. It's just very mediocre.

It just makes the ending of DA2 unintentionally hilarious.

Yeah despite all of FF12's flaws, I had some of my favorite moments in gaming ever playing it.

The gambit system was great and the Mist Charge system while broken meant you could survive fights you absolutely should not be able to win.

I remember fighting Gilgamesh's 2nd boss fight, completely underleveled and unprepared, getting my ass kicked and having spin plates for about 30 minutes straight to keep revivng everyone, restoring MP and slowly slowly whittling his HP down.
