Do you have any peripheral (keyboard, headphones, etc) that has a button other than Space Bar mapped to a pause function? That can trigger even if the player isn't in focus.

You guys might want to take a closer look at the animation. It's not hand-drawn. They're still animated in CG, just with some heavy filtering to appear 2D. Same thing they did with the Tom and Jerry movie.

Half-Life Alyx is an excellent showcase of what can be done with VR, though I'm not sure I'd recommend it as your first experience. It's very involved with its mechanics. Like if you want to reload your gun, you have to perform (simplified versions of) all the physical actions needed for that. Popping out the magazine, grabbing a new one from your backpack, sticking it in, and chambering the first round. All while making sure you avoid whatever enemy is in front of you. It feels great once you get use to it, but it can be overwhelming if you don't have any prior VR experience.

This isn't necessarily required, but not doing it increases the chances of newer or recently updated games misbehaving. If you have an Nvidia GPU, the easiest thing to do is download Nvidia GeForce Experience. It'll automatically check for driver updates for your card and let you download and install them when you feel like it.

And yeah, Google Earth is awesome. You can go pretty much anywhere in the world and see it modeled in 3D. Street View is also there, though those are just 360 degree photos.

Any anime fan can tell you that "Netflix Original" is just a marketing gimmick and not an indication that they actually own anything. They've lost several of their so-called originals just a year or two after putting them up.

Disney+ has the Simpsons in its entirety, dude. And I'd put some of their other Marvel stuff on par with the Netflix shows.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to go to Disney+ directly since that's where literally all the other MCU stuff is?

Yeah his skits are bad and his older videos revolved around him yelling and cursing a lot. Kind of the reason why I like his newer stuff better, it's severely toned down and he even makes episodes on movies he likes. In fact, his best episodes are the ones he likes because he gives unique and interesting points on them, much better than just nitpicking at a film.

He actually went an entire year without swearing once to see if it made a difference and didn't call attention to it until the end.

I still watch him. His videos are fun when it's just him riffing on the movie. But I always skip those godawful skits at the start of most episodes and the sponsorships in the middle.

Those are tiles, not a rug. It's a mosely bathtub (like a murphy bed- folds up into the wall), she obviously used it moments before and hasn't raised it back up to the wall yet, and before she bathed, she used the toilet and clogged it because she's one of those "way too much toilet paper" wipers, so she used the plunger and left it right there. The shot is after she puts on her batsuit and starts brushing her teeth before she proceeds to fold the bathtub back up, and put the plunger back in the corner of the bathroom like where all plungers are.

How does the bathtub fold up if the soap holder on the wall is in the way?

Yeah, I've always found that really dumb. Why do the message boards have different content standards that the game database? How can posting something officially hosted on the site being a site violation?

As long as such posts have a content warning that you have to manually confirm to view, I don't really have a problem with it.

i received a game (cd) for christmas years back which required online authentication to play. lost access to the email address a year or two later. contacted support; couldn't proceed without proof of purchase. was purchased in a brick and mortar. that game copy is effectively bricked.

There's really no way of knowing for sure until many years after the fact. A lot of people were sure that Pokemon cards were just a fad when they first came out. And now mint condition Charizards are worth thousands of dollars.

Trading cards contain desktop wallpapers. They can also be crafted together to make emotes, profile backgrounds, etc. They, along with those items, can also be bought and sold for store credit, which can be used to buy games. They serve a practical purpose within the scope of Steam without using excessive amounts of energy, so of course they don't sell for insane prices.

How many people actually own NFTs, btw? *googles* Oh. Less than half a million. And only 40k own the bulk of their combined value. Yeah. Sounds super popular and successful. Totally not a pyramid scheme to help a small number of individuals get rich.

I'm not saying it's for everyone. What you "do" with it is collect it, sell it, trade it, gift it, take pictures with it (in augmented reality mode), etc.

It's no different than stamp collecting, collecting comic books, collecting Pokemon cards, etc. except that these are on the blockchain, and you can buy and sell them right from your phone.

They are building a Metaverse scheduled to be released around the middle of 2022, and they're keeping most details of that under wraps so that they're competition doesn't steal their ideas.

NFTs and metaverses aren't for everyone. You can call it pointless, but I could say the same thing about video games, action figures, comic books, Magic the Gathering, etc. The fact is people are buying and enjoying NFTs while also making money off them. If it's not for you, it's not for you. But it's not going away either.

Okay, but what is gained from it being on the blockchain? Why not use standard internet databases to manage this stuff? Like Steam's trading cards? It's way more efficient and accomplishes the same task.

What you're not taking into account is that there are only about 80 million people in the world who own any bitcoin (and probably substantially less own even $1000 worth), whereas several magnitudes more own gold. And that's only talking about in its pure state. Virtually every citizen of a first world country on the planet owns something that contains gold within it.

And I'm saying this as someone who has graded Pokemon cards. At least those are something physical and thus distinctly original. And their grading ID numbers are in an online database that doesn't use a small country's worth of energy to maintain.

Mexican Spanish is quite different from Spanish Spanish.

I'm a package handler at a facility on Long Island. The volume has fluctuated a lot recently, but we've historically done about 16k packages a day on average. 20k would be considered a heavy day (though 25k once or twice a week wasn't uncommon last year). Recently we've frequently had less than 10k.

I also work at FedEx Ground, and yeah things started getting crazy a few months into the pandemic. The volume has dropped substantially recently, though part of that is because another facility opened up a few towns over and took some of it off our hands. Now it's the lightest I've seen since I started working there 5 years ago. Even holiday peak was pretty mild.

It's worth it if you're the kind of person who only ever plays a game once. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch it.

I didn't have that problem (apparently because I already had data collection disabled, which is another fix), but it is now stuck on dark mode for some reason. And every website that has that option is now defaulting to it.

Yeah. The whole site locks up for like a minute pretty much every other time I post. Meanwhile I can log in on my phone during that time without issue.

You should always do a manual check before playing a game for the first time since it doesn't always detect it right away.

And I don't think the game ever reached a smooth framerate in all areas even with the patches. You'd have to play on an emulator for that.
